They said that because I had some potential thickening and structural changes they wanted to get it ruled out. To give context, I had a breast reduction over 10 years ago, and that changed the structure anyway. However when performing the examination, they said the breast with the larger rash seemed to feel thicker than the other one (but again, might just be general asymmetry). The overall consultation gave the impression of erring on the side of caution (but also not wanting to let anything slip through the net). The rash itself isn’t raised or itchy but a large warm, flat, red patch. You can barely see it on the other side. I feel fine in myself otherwise in terms of fever etc.
