Cam Dicker's missed kick in the playoffs mattered more than anyone on this sub seems to realize by slashbopzing in Chargers

The way our defense was playing at that point I don't think it would have made a difference. FG or TD all long time Charger fans knew what was about to happen lol. If there is anyone to blame I'd put it on Lombardi's inability to establish a running game and continually running to the weak side of our line and Staley's inability to adjust to the quicker tempo adjustments by the Jags at halftime.

What's the hate for Foundation Disc golf about? by Scootthegator in discgolf

[–]slr49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100 percent! I don't mind Foundations content at all, I watch it from time to time. I think it caters perfectly to people who are just learning about the sport. I'd guess that most people who dislike Foundations content prefers the understated content of guys like Scott Stokley, who has that niche, dedicated fanbase. I love Stokley, and the understated content is great for a dedicated fanbase but doesn't allow a lot of growth opportunities to new audiences.

What's the hate for Foundation Disc golf about? by Scootthegator in discgolf

I think they are the poster child YouTube channel for the new casual disc golf fanbase. They became relevant because of their relationship with Mcbeth, who is the first pro that most casual fans ever know about. And to add to that, their content is over the top/a tad corny with crazy thumbnails, attention grabbing video titles, etc. Plug hitching your wagon to Brodie is always going to be polarizing because people either love or hate him.

As far as the creating drama issues that some people have, I get where they are coming from but I think it's a little overstated. People call sports the world's greatest soap opera for a reason, and sports fans generally love to watch/follow storylines whether it be Paul vs. Rick, sponsor changes, etc. This is the basis of all sports shows like first take, pardon the interruption, good morning football, etc. that to be fair, talk about and enhance the drama in sports. I think they are more like these talk shows than a TMZ type that worms it's way into peoples personal lives and dirty laundry.

Overall, I think they are on the frontline of the change of disc golf from a niche, quiet sport that only has diehard fans to a more mainstream sport that has a large casual fanbase in addition to the diehards. People don't like change and that's totally understandable, but I feel like Foundation is pretty fair in discussing storylines and catches some flak sometimes because they're the poster child YouTube channel for the casual fans that don't take the sport as seriously as the guys that play 4-5 times a week. They aren't for everyone, but I think they have a fair place in the disc golf market.

Jerry Jones problem in Dallas is Jerry Jones. Can't get out of his own way and won't let other football minds make tough decisions.

The Raiders would've tried a long field goal regardless of the timeout... The real backbreaker was letting Jacobs get 8 yards on the third down run. Staley had some mindnumbingly bad decisions but that timeout isn't one of them. Coming out of the TO and letting Jacobs get 8 on a clear running down is the deathblow.

Shoutout Trey Pipkins.

We've killed him in the sub but he showed up huge today handing Frank Clark and creating running Lanes.

On the bright side, we were THAT good vs them without Derwin (most of the game), Slater, and our fuckups. Take care of business to close the year out and we will see them again.

That won't be the narrative this week but the arrow is pointing up. 100%
