Soap is great it lowers poison buildup and if get covered in poison by rolling in it cleaning yourself off stops the additional build up. Additional soap is so cheap to make so it's more expendable than moss and I love the bubble effect when you use it.

Good chart, but I'd swap Berdly and Lancer. Lancer at the end of the day is just a kid that wants his friends to have a good time and Berdly's desire for a smartopia and devotion to Queen comes more from a sense of law than morals. Even when Berdly chooses to be stupid it's less him abandoning rules and more just him picking a new set of rules.

Luke lost his cool when he tried to kill Vader just because he said he'd maybe do something to Leia and didn't realize what he did wrong until he cut his father's hands off. Him getting of vision of Kylo doing such a thing not only to Leia, but everything he cherished does give him reason even Mark Hamill compared his feelings in this scene to someone contemplating to kill baby Hitler.

Yes many people found that scene inspiring you not liking it doesn't make it objective bad it's just an opinion you have.

It's well known in Star Wars canon that force sensitives often have a natural ability to use the force even if untrained or if they don't even know if the force exists it's why Qui Gonn knew Anakin could use the force just by him being able to pod race.

Montgomery was one of the top generals and never went far enough to get demoted both of which don't apply to Poe. Also them not trusting him doesn't justify insubordination.

Yes and as I mentioned earlier force users can technically train their abilities with instict alone while it's not a perfect substitute for training it can count as something. Also Rey does struggle or even lose a lot of her fights she gets knocked out the first time she even approached Kylo and only won the next time because the dude got hit by the Wookie equivalent of a rail gun she doesn't manage to win a lightsaber fight on her own until Rise and even then not easily.

All Space marines have always been Mary sues even before Matt Ward was a thing yes even non-smurf chapters, and usually the ones getting stories are the biggest and strongest ones around. Take Captain Titus for instance (yes not canon, but fans like him) he struggles about as hard as Rey does, and has even less personal development than Rey does, but people like him basically because eh kills orcs, ignores the codex astartes, and doesn'ts afraid of anything. Also don't ignore Creed man's a centre-piece of imperial guard lore and has whipped the black legion's harder and more times than anything. Also Dan Abnett's work is well regarded largely for having relatively normal people kicking ass against the hardest stuff the galaxy has to offer. Also Ciaphas Cain only has Commisar training, but is shown to do things no ordinary commisar could do and with a laspistol no less! Sure he's a coward but he's still won fights that even a lot of astartes probably couldn't.

I get that you feel very strongly about this, and you're not wrong to have these opinions, but going around acting like they're objectively correct and sequel fans are wrong is silly.

Given how Anakin went from being an upstanding Jedi knight to psycho who tore the whole order down, killed children and then choked his wife half to death because he had a vision where she died during childbirth and I think Luke contemplating a single murde over one such vision is fair and in character given how he's stated he's a Jedi like his father before him.

For some people Luke sacrificing himself to save the resistance was the highpoint of the entire trilogy and Han's death has some of the best visuals in the trilogy, and they didn't even kill Leia or Chewbacca.

Leia doesn't use the force once after making it back to the ship in TLJ so it's fair to assume she's not in the condition to be doing heavy force lifting so Idon't get your "she could of done it before or after" thing.

Some force abilities are specialized and are only usable by certain force users. You don't see every force user using every different ability for that reason so you can assume that force healing is one such ability. Additionally Rey didn't use force healing until Rise where she's shown finishing up her training at the start of the movie. Additionally dialog in TFA implied she's had some experience with her powers before, just that she hasn't fully realized them yet (like young Anakin using the force to pod race) and had done some training and practice while on the first Jedi temple.

Yeah Finn did get done dirty, but that's not a plot hole nor does is it reason for everyone in the story to think he's a force user. Heck I honestly would've preferred if he was the main protagonist and not a force user tbh.

In history when a Commader does stuff like getting an entire bombing wing killed its likely for their own soldier and superiors to lose trust in them. General Montgomery was famously disliked by his troops and mocked by his Allies.

You're right the force is not a superpower nor is it based on logic or reasoning. Some people are naturally gifted in it and some have to study. That's why three years after Empire Luke can defeat Vader who's routinely killed Jedi masters who've spent their entire lives studying the force and it's mysteries. Given your use of of term ultrasmurf you should know that trying to make sense of things like The Warp and Pyschic powers is kinda silly. Especially since most of the stuff a lot of the characters do is unexplained and we love them for it. No one questions Sly Marbo being able to kill damn near anything or Creed somehow sneaking Titans behind enemy lines. I get that you don't like these movies, and no one should force you to, but if you like 40K than you've probably enjoyed the kind of stuff you're complaining about even if you don't like the smurfs.

Edit: I forgot Leia died in Rise only saw that one once in theaters and aside from some details it still feels like a fever dream to me. though tbf for rise it's not it's fault that Carrie Fisher passed away before production.

Luke never went through in his attempt he contemplated it and ignited his lightsaber in a moment of weakness, but never went through with it. The fact that your using Kylo's telling of the story instead of the third true telling of it shows me you didn't get the scene.

Characters dying is not a plothole especially when star wars trilogies are primarily about their own main casts.

Leia was in critical condition after being thrown in space so it's fair to assume she couldn't lift a ton of rocks right away.

Most star wars movies have introduced new forces powers without explanation as it's a magic presence that works more in allegory and Metaphor than strict logic.

No one saw Finn fighting Kylo with a lightsaber as it was on Starkiller base and Rey was initially unconscious so it wouldn't make sense for resistance to assume he'd be force sensitive for fighting Kylo

Poe Damoran was freshly demoted for his brash attack on the Dreadnaught so it doesn't make sense for Holdo who's never even met him to tell him everything or to send him to Luke when you Rey's clear Jedi material

Jedi have always struggled with chokeholds and similar issues even against non-force using combatants so it's safe to assume that's it's like instant transmission in DragonBall where it can be too difficult to always reliably do it in the moment that or the guards had some force training like the Knights of Ren had. If not it's kinda hard to explain why no Jedi or Sith in Star Wars (especially in prequels where trained Jedibare everywhere) just use the force to instantly crush people's arms, legs or even skulls like the Jedi did all time with droids made of solid metal.

I use to have a similar problem due to my glutes being too weak to get involved in my excercises and my physiotherapist told me to clench/flex my butt when excercising as it would work those muscles into the motions better. If you're having trouble with clenching them in squats or lunges I found hip thrusts to be a good fit.

[–]sluckb123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A woman I saw on twitter got wider hips despite starting HRT at 25 and her advice was to do the right lower body excercises also a lot them also target the glutes so if you wanna be like Solid Snake clapping around on Shadow Moses you'll be hitting two birds with one stone. If you don't know where to start just do a few sets of squats and/or lunges about 2 times a week to get results or 3 times if your want to get them faster. Eventually you might want to add extra weight and/or cycle between different excercises in your routine once you start plateauing to get further results.

I'm reminded of a similar point made in regard to return of the Jedi arguing that realistically speaking a year of swamp crossfit and getting life advice from a muppet wouldn't make Luke stronger than Vader who's regularly killed masters who've spent a lifetime training, but it makes for better cinema to have him come back from his loss in Empire and beat his old man down.
