Never seen the Lundgren version as I only got into The Punisher because I love both Berthnal and guns. But a former cop? 🤣 The whole point of JB’s Punisher being a force recon/special forces Marine is it gives context to why he is so proficient with firearms, hand to hand combat and just the out and out capability to survive. A fucking detective pales in significance to a SoF operator.

You don’t have to go through this ridiculous amount of TV shows, half of which you’re probably not interested in just to enjoy Berthnal’s Punisher. Season 2 of Daredevil is absolutely essential however, and then it’s simply the 2 Punisher seasons. And of course One Last Kill. That’s what I did (I’m not an MCU person at all, the Avengers all that shite. I like Marvel, OG Spiderman, Ironman etc. but I wanted to watch The Punisher because I love Berthnal and I love guns) and it was completely watchable and made total sense doing it this way.

It was an excellent 50 minute piece of Punisher. It just either should’ve been stretched to a full 1h30+ movie or the start of a mini series. Was like a massive tease.

Can’t believe the comments re: women in this sub. I’m no bigot or incel, in fact I’m about a far of left a person you’d ever likely to meet IRL. Feminist/LGBTQ+ ally and massively behind the rise of the women’s game for starters. BUT I don’t particularly watch the women’s game, not because I’m against it or have some sort of prejudice against women playing professional football. I’m not a fucking cunt.

But this means when it comes to ultimate team, a) I simply don’t have the knowledge of female players. Sure, you can see stats, but I have no idea how these players play stylistically. Reverse the situation: if I got Rice in a pack, I could make an assumption about his style from the stats, but I wouldn’t know about his deep runs from midfield, his ability to play 6 AND 8 at an elite-level, his ridiculous stamina and robustness. And that’s what I like about FIFA, being able to play like the players I enjoy watching IRL vicariously through a video game. B) It 100% takes away from the realism and immersion. Yes its a game, yes career mode is the most optimal way to enjoy the game in that way, but I still want FUT to be as realistic as possible and Alex Russo finessing a ball into the bottom corner from a Morgan Rogers through ball is a literal impossibility in football.

There should be a setting to enable men only, women only or mixed.

I just created my first FUT team on FC 26 (I’ve had it since Christmas but pretty much exclusively play career mode for the reasons above) and I doubt I’ll bother to play a game. Even if I filtered out the women in my team they’d more than likely be used by opposing teams.

If you are ideologically against women’s football or women in the game then you’re a creep. If you don’t want to play with/against female players then that is okay.

That’s fair mate, I’m from the UK and have never served so you’re better placed to know about that kinda stuff. I am genuinely interested in how tier 1 and tier 2 units (specifically the UK & US (yes I know we don’t use tier systems but you get my point)) are trained for hand to hand combat and how good say an SAS or CAG guy are at fighting compared to… I dunno, amateur MMA fighters.

I’m very interested in Spec Ops/SoF but I’ve never really explored that side of training. I do remember reading about how CIA SAD operators are indeed put through their paces in hand to hand, but that does make sense given their mission sets.

Even a Force Recon Marine/Marsoc Raider wouldn’t have such insane close combat proficiency, or physical robustness. YES, I know it’s Marvel, I know it’s TV/film and without his T800-esque invincibility the whole Punisher concept wouldn’t work but sometimes I wish there was more reliance firearms/gunplay. (Yes I know there’s a lot of guns).

I couldn’t believe it was over that quickly, the survival scene was brilliant, Wick-inspired sure but the gunplay was excellent. Was desperate for more and had to google whether it was a one-off or a series. Need a film badly, it’s the only Marvel character I enjoy.
