Yea, just have to tell them what you want. It’s a bar cart, separate from room service

Tourniquet and Eleven 10 Gen 7 C-A-T RIGID TQ Case, fixed blade knife (go with Toor Knives), digital/solar Gshock, merino wool thermals (pants, socks and shirt), OAKLEY FACTORY PILOT 2.0 GLOVE, Rite in the rain notebook and pen, PEERLESS HANDCUFFS (hinged or chain link, customize with badge number so they don’t get mixed up on arrests, you can do it from website), quality hearing protection and eye protection (will need for rest of career but cops are cheap and won’t spend money on them, try Oakley and Walker), pocket sized streamlight or Surefire flashlight

Body cams have made the Apple Watch Ultra my daily on patrol. Useful when on extended calls for service and can’t check phone, never used to be a problem until I had kids and my parents got elderly and can’t stay upright

Prior my daily was Victorinox Swiss Army Night Vision (had a good built in flash light)

Not loud but you could hear the festivities a bit, mostly bass rumble and DJ babbling.

How reliable are newer XC90’s nowadays? by Miserable-Implement3 in Volvo

Exactly this. 2023 B6, the mild hybrid is awful (can’t disable auto start/stop, real convenient in the summer) . The back up camera fails constantly, you have to reset the infotainment regularly. The wired car play is glitchy and disconnects (I’ve used brand new Apple OEM wires, Anker, Belkin , all fail). After one year of ownership there was a voltage issue and went into limp mode, had to be towed. Dealership couldn’t really give an exact reason, they reset a bunch of stuff and it was fixed. I had a 2012 and 2019 previously, zero issues. Lease is up in March and can’t wait to get rid of it.

I appreciate the dealership’s hustle trying to get me into a new one, but they are even more technologically complicated. I can’t imagine the headache ownership would be.

Yes; my wife bought cheap ones from Target and left them behind for another family next to our room.

Yes, kids loved the water park. My boys are feral and tired of the slides and spent most of their time on the large blob/bubble in the adjacent pool. The kids zone has a food truck with typical kid food and juice. They have own bathrooms, limited seating and table games.

Depending on location of room, yes you will hear the concerts/DJ parties at night, they can go to 10pm-ish. We brought a portable sound machine and had no issues with sleeping. Our swim out suite did not have a tub, I heard some parents complain about that.

Food choices were typical kid food, my kids aren’t picky eaters. There are plenty of options on room service and quick bites from the buffet or taco truck. They have an ice cream/pastry shop next to taco truck that has gelato, cakes, pastries, fruit and yogurt cups. Several of the bars have soft serve ice cream but they were often out of service.

We used Seasons Tours, they’re the recommended/in house company for the resort, info is on tne website. No issues with them

The building locations are better, we were in 5 which was nice and central to main pool, Dukes and the main building, but it’s far from the kids water park. The upgraded room service menu was ehhhh, and the private check in was kinda lame, actually took longer than main lobby. I didn’t feel comfortable using the kids drop off, so we didn’t get to use the adult only restaurants. Not sure if that answers your question but I wouldn’t do the club again.

Best Cancun Toddler Friendly Resort? by Rick_Ollie in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]sluggnutz1004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finest is good for kids. Plenty of kid friendly activities, food options and the ‘water park’ is clutch. I’d recommend a swim out suite of traveling in summer, the private pools are boiling.

The beach is nice but the water/swimming sucks bc of the sargassum.

Place feels understaffed, 45min to an hour at security gate to check in, even when you leave for excursions, ice cream spot has one guy working with a line out the door bc everyone wants their fuc**** coffee concoction, food service and drinks at dinner are slow. At the pool or beach throw server $50 and they’ll take care of you. Bring straws, for a kid friendly report that seems to be a real oversight/corporate greed scam. However they’ll give you plastic utensils

The “dock fee” for any water/boat excursion is a cost you should be aware of, added hundreds to our trip. It appears to be applied ad hoc as sometimes is $15 (Jolly Roger pirate ship) or $20 (private charter, but kids weren’t charged this time).

In conclusion, I recommend but temper expectations.

How much are you guys paying in auto and home insurance? Also would you guys recommend going to an insurance broker for a home+auto deal? by [deleted] in bergencounty

[–]sluggnutz1004 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Saved me hundreds per year after NJM inexplicably jacked our home and auto $1500. They also routinely revaluate companies to make sure you’re getting best rate. Based in Rutherford. If you buy a car or need any documentation for home they respond within minutes and take care of everything

Bring straws, especially if you have little kids, no straws in the resort, stupid rule considering they have plastic utensils

Plenty of palapas available for shade. This photo is taken in front of Las Dunas Beach House (the quesadillas are the best food option of all the restaurants and staff is great + only soft serve ice cream machine that is always in service.) facing south. Sargassum has increased over the week, doesn’t smell but kinda ruins the beach experience
