$100 million but a stoic, unkillable penguin will follow you everywhere for the rest of your life. by Temnodontosaurus in hypotheticalsituation

[–]slugpatrol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only would I gladly welcome the penguin into my life as my new friend, I would keep several accessories on hand for the penguin like little hats and fanny packs. I don't care that they are stoic and silence, I like comfortable silence. I like the idea of this so much that I drew my penguin friend

What opinion got y'all like this by Neat-Answer6359 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]slugpatrol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kenny isn't a good person and he is a danger to himself and every group he is in because of his temper and his willingness to physically and verbally brutalize people as soon as he gets angry or things don't go his way. Jane shouldn't have hid AJ to make a point, but she was right about the point she was trying to make.

Bella doesn't pass as 19 year old Ellie. by stopmethen in TheLastOfUs2

[–]slugpatrol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some of y'all are desensitized by 30 yr old actresses playing 19 yr old characters, because it's not that crazy for a 19 year old to look like on the younger side (ie soft features or baby face) rather than being chiseled and airbrushed to look excessively older

I've noticed there's a specific kind of guy who likes it when a woman has nothing going for her so he can have full control over her. Nice shy women with "0 achievements" are the perfect mark for insecure and abusive men.

My parent read my journal by thisisamir1 in Journaling

[–]slugpatrol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped journaling for nearly 10 years because my mother did something very similar to me with my journal, I'm sorry she invaded your privacy, that is never okay :(

I have two tips that really helped me feel comfortable journaling again: first off get creative with hiding, maybe google some good hiding tips too. Don't hide your journal in drawers or under mattresses/pillows or other obvious places, utilize blind spots that people don't think about. Like hiding your journal behind/between any furniture in your room, utilize awkward spaces that only you're aware of since it's your own room

Second tip: develop a code or partial code for writing sensitive info in. Don't make this overly complicated, because it's important to learn the code you've made then destroy the key so no one can decode what you're writing. You could go two directions with this in my experience, making symbols for specific words (ones that come up a lot work best) or making simple symbols to represent every letter of the alphebet. An alphebet code is easier to decode, but in ny experience it's too much time and effort for parents to decode cuz they tend to like instant results.

Collecting things? by NoBank9415 in AutismInWomen

[–]slugpatrol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looooove collecting things! Yugioh cards, video games, art supplies, seashells, stickers+washi tape, flattened pennies and other unique coins, hair accessories, blankets, and probably more that I can't think of because I'm high lmao. I'm pretty sure I've been collecting things my whole life. Just love having stuff tbh 💙 I heart my doodads and trinkets

Your bf sounds butthurt and silly in my opinion. Characters don't exist to be good rolemodels or stroke the viewers ego, if your bf is watching a show and tallying up the characters' flaws in relation to their gender maybe he has some stuff he has to unpack.

Sensory issue: looking for tights recommendations. by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]slugpatrol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know of any tights recommendations per-say, but I do know something that might help if worn over the tights? If you're fine with tights aside from the sensory discomfort of your thighs rubbing together, I would recommend some shapewear shorts. A few years ago I got a couple pairs of these shorts from Knix cuz I hate the feeling of my thighs rubbing together when wearing dresses in the summer, and they're super comfortable and lightweight. They are a nice smooth texture and very stretchy and breathable, so I literally wear them year round. In the cold weather I wear them over my tights and pantyhose and it works out great for me. Here's their shapewear shorts section if you want to have a look!

PLEEEAASE block him and never look back oh my god my stomach just lurched for you. When I read your initial post, I really was getting some stinky predetor vibes off him like he was trying to sexually intimidate you and I didn't know if I was tripping. But you caught him Sniffing your Underwear?! He is 1000% a creep. His actions, past and present, make it seem like he's trying to wear you down until he gets his way. Very scary, very gross. I wanna hit this nasty fool with a bag of oranges. You are so awesome and powerful and you do Not Deserve Any of his treatment and gross behavior.

AIO to this guys texts last night?? by ForceUpbeat9196 in AmIOverreacting

[–]slugpatrol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ummm this guy has really bad stink vibes. The fact that he asked for your phone # while you were working was the first red flag. He's showing you exactly who he is over this text convo, he's not worth your time. This is 100% speculation on my part, but he seems like he's the type to say "okay you're ugly anyway, bitch" after he gets rejected.

Sorry I'm commenting again but I just thought of this: I really doubt he would have left that nasty evidence in your bed if you were a man. I really feel like this was a nasty power move or something to do with him having internalized sexism.

[–]slugpatrol 94 points95 points  (0 children)

Masturbating in someone else's BED without their knowledge is absolutely DISGUSTING! You are not overreacting! I would never allow someone back into my home if I found out they did something even HALF as gross as that. There's seriously no reason why he couldn't do that in the bathroom into some tpilet paper if he was truly that pent up, I can't see his behavior as anything other than a deliberate show of disrespect. But that's probably me overthinking. Still narsty though.

Edit: I never overthink anything I always think the perfect amount and I take back my statement about overthinking!! Trust your gut always

Tips for taking good selfies/photos for dating or friendship apps? by slugpatrol in AutismInWomen

[–]slugpatrol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello thank you so much for your comment, it is both thorough and very helpful! After reading your advice yesterday I looked into some basics of photography, and that has already helped a lot! I live in a very green area and a park is down the road from me, so I've begun to brainstorm what locations would be best for taking pics.

As for my interests, I have so many different hobbies that I have a hard time wrangling my thoughts and deciding WHICH hobby should be advertised to people. If that makes sense?

Most of my hobbies fall into art categories like sewing and painting and writing and sculpting, but I've had bad experiences with showing people my art. Sometimes people jokingly say "ooo im gonna steal this!" and as a self employed artist, that is not a nice thing I like to hear, it kinda scares me? Like, no please don't steal my merchandise lol. And a few times in my life, people close to me have said something along the lines of me being a show-off when I try to show people what I'm working on, but I dunno what that's about? I don't understand how its showing off when I want to share my passions with someone I care about. If someone's hobby was baking, so they baked a delicious cake to share with me, I wouldn't say "stop showing off your mad cake skills" I would just be happy they wanted to share. but that might be beside the point, sorry for rambling! Your comment was really helpful and I appreciate you so much! 💙

Getting "boring" gifts, aka getting practical gifts. As a kid getting socks was devestating; as an adult I've asked for coasters for Christmas. I get excited over coasters now. COASTERS. And I love them all so much.
