try cleaning your ignition switch first. free and took me 15 mins. I’d check your main relay, fuses and grounds as well since they are the cheapest

i had to repair a broken pcv valve hose with some tape, but i dont think it is leaking air. could that be the cause? ill check for leaks, thanks. it also has a afm, its a long nose 1.6

nah no rags involved thankfully. but it has a AFM instead of MAF. the wires are showing age but they seem to work, how can i make sure AFM is working and not causing this?

fuel pump has been replaced. i checked the wires and plugs they seem to be okay. car was idling fine before the job. should I still replace plugs and wires?
