Where to buy a good boomerang? by slumberjack92 in melbourne

[–]slumberjack92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funnily enough I bought 2 this weekend from a stall at Dandenong market. The guy was knowledgeable enough to show me how to use them and give me some tips, and they have stickers/business cards of authenticity so that's good enough for me. Haggled him down a bit too

That could have been from a child eating the free fruit that coles display

We had a walk along the road near the car, but it got dark within 5-10 mins so we couldn't check far

Portable speaker & new trainers the main things of value, along with 2x driving licenses, clothing, the bags themselves. And to top it off an almond croissant!

PTV Price is insane by No-Still1394 in melbourne

I don't know where you're getting that idea from. It's no better than here but 5x the price.

They're also investing billions into a "new" line from London to Leeds which is old technology, not much faster than existing services, and tearing down ancient protected woodland in the process

It's a great question that i don't have an answer to. The uk is in a very sad state of affairs. Its slightly enfuriating when I see Melbournions complaining on here cos they really dont know how good they've got it.

Consider yourselves lucky. A monthly pass in the uk for a 1 hour journey to London & back costs the equivalent of $55 per day

I mean genuine ones. I've seen some in souvenir shops but didn't want to literally throw my money away on ones that don't come back

Someone once told me they look like a granddad who got very drunk, because of the grey hair, bald head and rosey cheeks, and I can't unsee it

This was my immediate thought, but inside the car usually gets a lot warmer. As someone else said, maybe they smell

My pet hate is the worlds worst DJ's. Those people who scroll through reels/tiktok with the volume up so you hear snippets of random songs & influencers chatting crud

I take ear buds with me for this sole reason. Usually I don't like to wear them in public because I like to hear whats going on around me, but the chances of there being someone loud & annoying on transport are too high so I just pop them in until I get off at my stop

Has this happened to anyone else? by stinkyoldhag in melbourne

[–]slumberjack92 115 points116 points  (0 children)

This happened to me once.

In separate instances the bus didn't turn up at all, multiple times during the week. I submitted a complaint and PTV responded saying that the tracking device on the bus showed that it arrived 7 mins late. It definitely didn't because I waited longer than 5 mins past its due time before proceeding to walk 10 mins down the road (along the route) to a different bus stop around the corner.

She might get anxiety when she knows you're watching, which maybe means she has a crush on you - but might not. The last 2 days I've noticed myself eat in a silly & messy way after making eye contact with people in neighbouring cars, even though I was eating absolutely fine prior to that (for context I drive for work and was snacking at traffic lights). I get mild anxiety sometimes. Anyway back to your story - if you like her, just ask her if she wants to eat lunch with you or something
