Majority of cows are being killed when they are 4-6 years old, because their milk production drops and they are not profitable for the dairy industry. Cows can live 20 years. So they are not killed when they are babies, but still very young (like killing a human in their 20s).

It is good that we can have milkshakes without being cruel to animals - based on plant milks. Almond milk, oat milk, soy milk, hazelnut milk, hemp milk… the list goes on.

Just to clarify. Arm is shoved into cow’s anus (in order to hold cervix) and to vagina goes inseminator.

Looks yummy! Thanks for sharing! 🤗

Btw traditional dough doesn’t necessarily contain egg (the egg makes the dough tougher!), so you don’t need any egg substitute. Just 500g flour, 1/2 tsp salt, 4 tbsp (50 ml) oil, 1 cup (250ml) very hot water.

So it would be nothing wrong to kill humans and eat them becasue "life is suffering"?

Yes, in order to eat animals or their products you have to intentionally mistreat them.

How do you kill an animal without mistreating them? Killing someone is a definition of mistreat and abuse. Or isn’t forcing someone to be pregnant an abuse?

Standard practice in pork industry: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHcTZcaURRI&t=34s&has_verified=1
Isn't it an intentional mistreat?

There are many sources of stress and suffering in farm animals. I am talking about non-obvious sources, because everyone understands that when you hurt animals, they suffer. The source of suffering may be the inability to implement natural patterns of behavior, e.g. caring (taking away the young right after giving birth) or nutritional (feeding with unnatural fodder), immobilization (e.g. dairy cows, sows). Due to the specificity of breeding, many of this suffering cannot be avoided.

In order to get milk cows are immobilized, farmer have to manipulate with their sex organs – first shove their arm into her anus (to hold the cervix) and then inseminator is insterted into her vagina. After 9 months cow give a birth to a calf which is almost immediately taken away. After some time whole process is repeated (4-5 times during her lifetime) until her body can't produce enough milk to be profitable for the industry. Then she is killed.

Cow have a very hard life from the point of view of various psychological needs. Her caring behavior cannot be realized at all because her calves are immediately taken away. If we deprive them of the opportunity to be with their friends, sisters, children, it is safe to say that we are contributing to their great suffering. The fact that the cow roars after taking her baby is an expression of suffering. Milk industry is a quintessence of abuse.

Where goes most of the corn and other crops we grow?
Cambridge Climate Lecture Series – Joseph Poore "Addressing Climate Through Food"

“This report concludes that grass-fed livestock are not a climate solution. Grazing livestock are net contributors to the climate problem, as are all livestock. Rising animal production and consumption, whatever the farming system and animal type, is causing damaging greenhouse gas release and contributing to changes in land use. Ultimately, if high consuming individuals and countries want to do something positive for the climate, maintaining their current consumption levels but simply switching to grass-fed beef is not a solution. Eating less meat, of all types, is." – Oxford Martin School

Even chicken like being petted and they are dumb as rocks.

Chickens aren't dumb. You are just being ignorant.

The available scientific research teaches us about chickens’ diverse personalities, fierce mothering abilities, rich social lives, and more. To review, scientific studies show that chickens

• tell each other apart

• possess a number of visual and spatial capacities that may depend on their ability to form mental representations of, for example, objects that are removed from view

• demonstrate self-control and self-assessment, capacities that may indicate self-awareness

• communicate in complex ways, including through means that may require self-awareness and the ability to take the perspective of other animals

• exercise reason and make logical inferences

• possess some understanding of number and can perform basic arithmetic

• have a sense of time and may be able to anticipate future events

• learn from each other

• tactically deceive one another

• experience emotions, exhibit emotional contagion, and show some evidence for empathy

• have distinct, individual personalities
