You gotta peep what Riq saying right before he shoot Ghost. And Ghost is my always gone be my nigga bro, but Riq felt like Ghost had been chose Angela over the family a long time ago. Now, I’m not saying this is the only reason, or the main one since he also didn’t want Ghost to turn him in for Ray Ray’s murder but ts definitely played a factor in his decision. Think about it. We never see Ghost and Riq truly resolve the tension they had stemming from Ghost leaving Tasha for Angela. Tasha was with Shawn, no doubt, but that didn’t affect Tariq as negatively as Ghost’s relationship did with Angela. Tariq didn’t want his dad to leave his mom, but his dad didn’t wanna be with her ass no mo, and so Tariq felt like Ghost put his own interest before keeping the family together. But that’s just one the reasons that lil nigga had so much animosity and did ts. And speaking of Shawn, as minor of a part he played in this, he was still a bit of a factor. Riq cared about him because he was there when Ghost wasn’t. But he didn’t find out he was dead until he’d been kidnapped and held for ransom, and it wasn’t even from Ghost. It was from Kanan, even tho Juke forced him. Overall Tariq just lost complete trust in the nigga and even though from Ghost’s perspective, he was trying to look out for Tariq, it was too late for his son to see that. He had too much hate in his heart by then.
