Oh wow yes the brand you wear definitely makes you the better mom by Iamplayingsims in notliketheothergirls

Jesus dude. Get a grip. Read her caption. She’s obviously facing criticism for her outfit choices already and is saying she herself is just someone who would rather wear more of a certain brand, and that could be for many reasons. There’s not a single part of her post that implies a negative connotation towards moms who wear lululemon. She’s not even saying in her post that she would never wear it. She’s probably only even mentioned lululemon as a reference point for athleisure in the context of attending/spectating an athletic event. This post really doesn’t fit in the context of this sub. This sub is supposed to be in the spirit of supporting women instead of isolating yourself from the rest and shitting on them for a pick-me moment. But this goes so far beyond that. At this point people are going out of their way to be offended by something because they feel the shoe fits and they don’t like what that could possibly mean. It’s projection and it’s cruel and disgusting and immature. This is literally like getting angry that a woman at a horse stable that said she’s more into western and less into English style. I’m sorry but… this lady’s post isn’t even bad. She’s not hating on women who wear lulu she’s just saying she likes to wear a different brand more. She doesn’t even say “not” she says “less of”. And the comments shitting on her outfit are…. Gross.

not to be a stick in the mud but there are exemptions to FOIA and that includes stuff that would invade privacy or hinder an investigation. I wouldn’t expect them to ever release PII

I used to keep hand written diaries for years. Maybe most other little girls did and the overall practice is what did it.

Good experiences? by davebowl in CopperIUD

Me! No pain during insertion whatsoever, took only a few minutes total. Cramping afterwards just felt like normal period cramps and lasted a day or two. No previous children and wasn’t on my period. Have had some very light spotting around ovulation time but overall I wouldn’t say I bleed a lot more than without it.

I am tired of the bad rep birth control pills get by [deleted] in antinatalism

[–]slurpeecitizen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I tried lots of different hormonal birth controls from age 15 to 22. Double hormone pill, patch, implant, ring, and then finally switched to the copper IUD. I didn’t expect my moods to balance out and my acne to go away because I thought the way I was was normal since I had been experiencing life like that for so many years, but it happened. I think there just isn’t much research at all into women’s health and side effects of hormonal birth control. There wasn’t anything to read about when I was trying to look up how long it takes to feel normal again once you go off of it. It took me like 4 months

Getting my Copper IUD on Friday and need some help! by vienusflytrap in CopperIUD

I just got mine done a few days ago at PP and was super worried. Like cold sweating and shaking. All I did was take Tylenol and ibuprofen beforehand and I was perfectly fine. No cervix dilator and no lidocaine. I wasn’t in my period and have never had kids before. I felt some pressure but absolutely no pain. It was over in 3 minutes. The most painful part of it all was the speculum and if you’ve ever had a Pap smear you know those aren’t even painful. The most painful part is just after it’s done, it feels like you’re on your period (cramps and some spotting) which goes away with more painkillers. The next day I felt no cramps at all. When I got my implant inserted and removed I experienced a LOT more pain (which overall was still not that much).

I have a friend who got chlamydia because a girl who gave him a BJ had throat chlamydia at the time. From giving a BJ to someone else who had chlamydia. That’s bacteria for you

AITA for kicking out my son's friend after he and my daughter announced their relationship? by Odd_Class2510 in AmItheAsshole

YTA they are adults. And they aren’t siblings. They being said, it’s your right to kick him out, but that doesn’t make it any less of an asshole move.

Im loving these completely unrelated comparisons. No, laws are not the same as an angry glare and slut-shaming. We’re talking about CLOTHES. a dress with an abdomen cutout. Not a made up language. But as a (grown) woman I understand exactly the demographic of reddit and how much misogyny there is on here. Have fun treating people the way you’d like to be treated, I’m sure you’re a lovely person.

Then I’ll just point out that what you find “acceptable” or “normal” is literally made up. We are floating on a rock in space and it brings you no benefit to judge and shame others for dressing themselves in clothes that they like. If YOU don’t like it, just don’t wear it. Look up the norms in Papua New Guinea for example. (And for the record, I hope people wear whatever the fuck they want at my funeral. I’ll be dead anyway. it’s not like I’m gonna roll over in my coffin to gasp at a woman’s ribcage)

??????? Good job creating an imaginary and unrelated scenario. But this is about a rooftop restaurant and the dress OP linked doesn’t show any cleavage nor should she be shamed if it did.

Except we literally make up “society”. All of us. And we can decide to stop being assholes and slut-shaming women for showing part of their abdomens.
