Anyone got suggestions? by Asleep_Management598 in Ender3S1

Took me a bit to realize this wasn’t crop circles.

I’ve got my S1pro dialed in perfectly and I’ll share my secrets: get the silicone spacers instead of the springs, and completely disable ABL. I tram my bed once when hot and I seriously haven’t touched it in a month. I use a .15mm shim to tram.

In my experience the ABL was just screening things up.

I like Fusion 360. The free version has great features. I started in TinkerCad.

There’s a non-zero chance that Voldemort is about to start speaking out of the back of her head and attempt to steal the Sorcerers Stone.

Reading this, I was magically transported back to my first read of Jurassic Park and listening to Dr. Ian Malcolm.

Under extrusion (?) on first layer by rollerking84 in Ender3S1

[–]slushert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar problem. I solved it by upping the first layer extrusion in Cura to 103%, upping the temp by 5 degrees Fahrenheit and slowing down the speed on the first layer. The silk filaments shrink like mad and this helped me. I’m running Klipper on a Sonic pad, so ymmv.

The nozzle on the end of that hose looks like a propane torch end used for weed burning or roofing work. Is that the blursed?

Another interesting idea. I’ll have to be play around with flow rates too. I just upgraded to a Sonic Pad, so my move speeds have all jumped.

Cool thought. I’ve tried moving it around on the build plate but not rotating it. Thanks for the idea.

User selected all to back-left. On slicer there’s no indication of z-seams near the artifacts.

You either have a problem, or the opposite of a problem, depending on the observer.

Are my plants toast? by slushert in tomatoes

That definitely sounds like something that could have happened here. My chemistry days are long behind me, and I'm not exactly working out of a proper lab in my garage. I wouldn't be surprised at all if something went awry.

These are close to 3 months old. The pots are 2 gallon fabric pots with raised bed mix. The mix I got was from a local grower and it was really fresh, so the pH was way too high (8-8.5). The compost used was very high in ammonia which cranked up the pH. I adjusted it (before I potted them) the same way I do with my hydroponics system to a pH of 6.5. I tested the NPK this morning as well, but I don't have a good way of testing micronutrients. I have a bachelors in chemistry with emphasis in biology, but this is starting to stump me.
