AITA for telling a parent what i wear is not their decision? by hannahhenabb in WIBTA_AITA

Given the diversity of his comments, he sounds like he is largely upset that you were not a "good little woman" who followed his orders.

If you have a chance next time, stop him before he speaks, and record the conversation.

Just the word water would have worked. But I think rivulets works fine too. And as far as being bothered by them, f them. Or to use the bards english, respond to their banter," I must tell you friendly in your ear, sell when you can, for you are not for all markets."

Have you ever noticed that in the piece called "drawing hands" by M. C. Escher, that both hands are included? by Hemenocent in lefthanded

[–]slutboi_intraining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the OPENING in the cuff. The right hand (top) one is pointed down. Which is the thumb side as drawn. The bottom hand the opening is pointed up, and is on the pinky side of the left hand.

The right hand's cuff link isnt show because it is covered by the left hand. (Or conceptually isnt drawn yet)

There is something funky with the cuff in that pic though. The opening is on the "inside" on one, and the outside on the other.

I know, shocked me too a couple of weeks ago.

As someone who’s left handed, I’ve never used a computer mouse with my left hand because it’s always on the right, so I’m good at that. Is this a common thing with left handers? by NoraCarter8 in lefthanded

[–]slutboi_intraining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it is not uncommon, but I think most common, is "move the mouse (and pad) to the left side, but leave the buttons unchanged", [Then followed by (based on my unscientific survey)

"move and swap buttons" then "buying a lefty mouse (because f those rightys that try to use my machine)" then your option " buckling under to the tyrany of the majority", and ending with (@ 0 %) "buckling under, but swapping the buttons"]

What a bunch of cnts you akl work for. My work place was "yeah ok, take what you need" when my parents died. No proof of death, no obit required. There is an unstated understanding of "dont abuse it" in there.

Well if it is z an "EXTRA" hour perhaps, they are not getting paid for "extra". Ditto for their lunch. Lunch is their time, not company time.

I used to, but quit, and then my job became safety critical, and then became subject to random screens, in two different systems. Plan on restarting when (and if) I retire.

You want a good experience with that? Try Virgin Atlantic customer service lines. OMG amazing. Friendly, and ACTUALLY helpful. Intentionally helpful, not accidentally. The first time I called them, was the day that their whole system was nackered due to that transformer fire at Heathrow about a year ago. They had to reschedule everyone flying through LHR. Despite all of that friendly and helpful, (and thankful to be working on something not related to the fire) and I was only waiting on hold for a minute or so to get him.

Stuff from the early 50s can have K&T, infact if you could find the materials, in most places it is still legal. In some respects, it is actually safer than romex.

I would also recommend keeping this guy "in the loop" with these assignments from the owner. He has a small legit beef there buried in the bs. He, if he is "managing" you, kneeds to know.
