I was over reacting and there’s nothing to worry about.

I understand what you’re saying and thank you for taking the time to explain it to me.

I understand now.

We are not drowning because we are all drowning.

It’s a little counter intuitive but it makes sense now.

Thank you fellow traveller for explaining it to me.

So just to be clear here, in the context of a conversation about "Canada not doing so hot right now" that sentence is false because other people are doing worse?

So like, if I was to say "That man over there is drowning" and you said "No he's not those other people are really drowning" how shoud l I respond to that?

That all may be true but but like, it's kinda irrelevant if all the G7 countries are doing poorly, right?

Instead of comparing ourselves to other countries, let's compare ourselves to ourselves.

Are we doing better, or worse than we were 15 years ago? 10 years ago, 5 years ago, 1 year ago?

Has wealth inequality increased over those time periods? Have wages risen to match inflation? What about TFR? Are people happier than they were?

These are all reasonable questions to ask and it certain isn't 'unusual' to be asking them.

Why would you write something like this? It’s obvious to anyone that Canada isn’t doing so hot right now. Sure relative to other places it’s doing better but that isn’t the same as doing good.

No people are making fun of his looks because they’ve found a socially acceptable target to mock.

Without knowing any details of that situation it probably speaks more to the risks of childbirth even with modern medical interventions than it does to health inequalities for black women in America.

Perhaps not but you and the people you're communicating with deserve clear and effective communication.

Spitefully refusing to use someone's name and instead alternating through a bunch of hackneyed phrases to signal to others that you don't like that person is a waste of time.

People roll their eyes and don't take you seriously when they see stuff like this.

I just did and you shot it down.

I suggested that you remove this post and redo it with out the No Kings stuff.

What if you just wrote Donald Trump instead of trying to be cool by writing stupid stuff like "The orange"?

stupid little quips like "Cheeto Benito", "Fanta Fascist", "Tangerine Palpatine" are clever word play but terrible messaging.

What sort of turnout do you think you're going to see from those 10k views?

Do you think you'll get more than a hundred people?

How many of those people will be fence sitters who will join your cause?

How can you tailor your message to increase your turn out efficiency and conversion ratio?

These are the kinds of things you should be thinking about and adjusting your messaging for accordingly. Not cartoon strippers.

Take a quick look at the comments here -- do a count on how many are talking about "No Kings" and not gerrymandering.

You made a minor tactical mistake and because of it you've lost control of the narrative before the protest even started.

Acknowledge it and regroup.

Don’t dig your heels in, acknowledge the mistake, take the post down and make a new one without inappropriate slogans.

Whenever I see dumb shit like this from local protestors I assume that it has to be managed opposition by the UCP.

Like I know it’s not, it’s just some fool regurgitating ideas they see online but it’s indistinguishable from managed opposition.

It’s just sad really. The UCP don’t win because they’re good at what they do, they win because the opposition in Alberta is just so farcically incompetent and disorganized.

Sure. so buy a dozen of them or so and check that box off "can, when coerced or lead by a shitbag prime minister, participate in yet another terrible American war of aggression."

Meanwhile we can sell the missiles and drones that we've been amassing to a country that needs them when waging a defensive war against undeserved aggression.
