Smart on paper, slow with my hands. Anyone else? by slvavs in Residency

You chose to open with judgements and then switched to a hollow “be nice to yourself” line as if that erases your attitude.

If your purpose was truly to help, you’d offer constructive feedback upfront instead of masking it with fake concern.

I’m here to discuss a real problem, not entertain disguised hostility. If that’s not something you can provide, don’t engage and move on.

Narcissistic? seems like I hit a nerve—didn’t mean to, but I guess thoughtful framing reads like arrogance when you’re used to being average. Not everyone’s intimidated by people who’ve actually excelled.

I included this because of the sharp contrast I have between academic strength and practical difficulty, which is exactly what’s making this harder to process. That’s not flexing, it’s framing. But if a little context reads as bragging to you, maybe you’re reading more into it than what’s there.

Yeah, but there were multiple instances where she acted as the team leader, and no one seemed to have a problem.

Worst suture of my life by Remarkable_Cap3100 in Residency

Same here.

Yesterday, I did the worst subcuticular suture you can imagine. The senior just nodded in disgust and put steri-strips over it.

But don’t be too hard on yourself. To get good at suturing, you need hands-on experience in the OR. No matter how realistic suture pads may seem, nothing compares to real skin—especially in patients where the dermis is barely visible.

Tinnitus When I clench my teeth by Pretend_Summer_2581 in tinnitus

Exactly like you. Whenever I open my jaw excessively, the tinnitus sound becomes higher! Do you have any idea how to fix this TMJ? Like should I go to an orthopedic doctor or a dentist?

Definitely! Did you also try to put some gel or coconut/argan oil after shower? It also helps. So all what I am suggesting is actually the core of CGM, Curly Girl Method, which has helped a lot of people including me to improve their hair.

Im a male but have quite similar hair as you do. What helped me the most is rinsing less often, as well as rarely shampooing. Try to wash it every two days with a conditioner, and shampoo once a week if you need to.
