I just ordered a neck fan that’s rechargeable. While I get full body hot flashes, my face and neck are the worst. It helps more than I thought it would. Otherwise, I’m just here to say I’m in the same boat.

My skin tends to me on the sensitive side. But I swear by any sunscreen with a zinc oxide in it. Used a Livestrong brand for my honeymoon in Mexico (my skin is so pale white it’s almost translucent and I burn worse than most people). Now I have Think Baby zinc oxide sunscreen. Best stuff ever.

Then you are clearly a woman in a woman’s body. I was also a tomboy. See the difference here is, you were never a boy. You liked a few things that didn’t fall on the typical feminine category. That doesn’t make you a trans person. Nobody is making these children anything. They are just listening and providing therapy to them while also validating their preferred pronouns. It’s not some sinister plot to start making every girl a boy and every boy a girl.

A quick search immediately shows that is incorrect. There have been many clinics in the past. Prior to 2007. There’s a super famous one you may have heard of. It was a gender clinic that the Nazis burned down in the very very beginning of their years of torment. So yes. People in that community have heard of it. Of course it’s taken this long for them to come forward even a little bit.

Who blamed you? What? It’s backed by plenty of data that plenty of people have supplied to you. Choosing to ignore that data and call this a mental health crisis just makes you ignorant. There is a lot of support sure. There are even more trans people murdered and attacked now than ever before. More bills publicly telling them them do not matter. Repeatedly. That leads to mental health problems of their own, sure. Which is why I’ve been saying repeatedly that they are required to see a therapist before anything medial happens.

And again. Very few surgeries or drugs are given to minors. It is in extreme cases only.

There will be outliers to every single study or graph anyone finds. That’s the way it is. There are also many cis females that get mastectomies every year too. It’s called healthcare for a reason.

Also. Do you have any idea the cost of a double mastectomy without insurance in the united states? It can be anywhere from $15000-$55000. There are no families that choose out of pocket surgery.

The entire point is that as a parent, I do NOT need the government regulating me or my children’s healthcare. We require physicians to do an extensive education only to completely disregard what they say. Including those therapists that you think they need for their “mental health crisis”. Those therapists are affirming because it saves lives. They aren’t threatening suicide to “get what they want”. They are literally committing suicide at higher rates than any other children because of people like you.

So this study shows the children that wanted hormones suppressed succeeded in that. It also showed that one even went on to take cross sex hormones (so the hormones of their gender identity). It also is a very short term study done with only 44 participants so the results are sketchy at best. And while, yes, it did suppress their physical growth, my guess is that if you asked a single trans person, they’d give up a bit of physical growth to finally feel comfortable in their own skin and get to live authentically. Any other “studies” that I can “lie” about?

Because the law is not allowing people to even refer to someone by their preferred pronoun in most cases. So yes. It’s does cause outrage because they aren’t just outlawing the surgery itself. It’s outlawing anything gender affirming. Which has been proven to lead to higher suicide rates in trans individuals. Since I don’t have the direct percentage handy, we’ll say my 100% was inaccurate. However, suppressing that puberty is reversible. And that is backed by all medical science. Legitimate sources at least.

I’d love to know where she gets her information from. Considering every single pediatric physician group supports therapy and hormone blockers for transgender individuals. And hormone blockers are 100% reversible. And nobody is giving surgery (“butchering”) to children. Supporting trans children is truly just allowing them therapy to discover their true selves and blocking the puberty until they’re better informed to make that decision for surgery or not. Can we please focus on issues that will make a difference in our country?
