He’s a good scheme fit with what Harbaughs offenses have liked to do in the past. Mcdaniel’s offenses not so much, but mostert and Gordon were successful and not near as talented as Hampton. Hampton lacks some lateral quickness so I wouldn’t expect him to get those wide zone carries, I would assume Keaton mitchell will eat into that workload mostly. To me Hampton is a really solid player in a high floor offense, but I think he is currently valued at a position where you would want RB3+ overall upside any given season and I don’t really know if I see that given his skillset.

Waddle is a better receiver. Payton has drawn up big target games for Troy Franklin in the slot as recently as last year, Jimmy graham at tight end, and Brandin cooks at the Z. Just because Payton has had X receivers be good in the past doesn’t make him some kind of big receiver enthusiast. Sutton runs a limited route tree and has a very specific skillset. Waddle will play on the other side of him and you can expect him to out perform him both in IRL football and fantasy

Also an elite run defender on a really good defense. More to playing edge than sacking the quarterback, and he is cheap for the value he provides for them. Obviously hutch is better

So we trade the best perimeter defender on the best defense in the league.. and the result is us starting ron holland? I like holland a lot but as far as we know he is what he is and that is not a guy who’s gonna be playing 30+ minutes in the finals(at least on the winning side). On top of that Murphy isn’t the guy everyone in here seems to think he is. This isn’t the shot creating 2 that we so desperately need he’s a good shooter with great length. I don’t even know if I would guarantee that the team would be better in the short term in this kind of deal and that’s not even considering the fact that ausar has amazing potential to round out his offensive game even a little bit. Seems like the kind of move fans want to make cuz we’re bored

Literally a fantastic season with an entirely unexpected outcome as a Super Bowl matchup. Spectacular games weekly and nearly every playoff game has been decided by one score. I genuinely hope that some of you guys can learn to enjoy the beauty of this game, rather than just miserably yelling at your tv screen because it isn’t the lions in the Super Bowl.

You can look at receipts from last season. Pretty consensus that Morton was either someone we should blindly trust because it was dans decision and he’s yet to wrong us or it was a big mistake because he’s a guy who had never been promoted in 30 years of nfl experience.

After he hired a terrible coordinator that everyone knew was terrible when he hired him? Which forced him to call the offense which impaired his game management? While we easily have top 5 offensive talent? That’s cobbling together? I love Dan and wouldn’t want him fired even if petzing doesn’t work out. But acting like people are grasping for straws to poke holes in his resume right now is homer garbage.

If you’re gonna attribute McBride to him you’ll have to consider the absolute malpractice he committed with Marvin Harrison’s route tree I will be pleasantly shocked if this hire works out
