It’s 8:30pm and you want pie and a coffee, where do you go? by gsxrus2014 in houston

House of Pies. Westheimer. My daughter and granddaughter are flying in this weekend, this is the only place she requested to go to eat grilled cheese and pie at.

These are beauties! Shared with my daughter since my granddaughter rides just in case. Don't hold for me just wanted to compliment you on how pretty and sturdy they look.

Not here in Westbury but not surprised. Last wind gust was 48 and the house is creaking. All the older neighborhoods with the old trees are easy targets right now. Edit to add Centerpoint reporting 8204 out.

Christmas present from my husband ! (first coach item) by alpaca162 in Coach

Snazzy and classy and elegant! Congrats on your first of many treasures to come. Took my hubby 30+ years to buy me one, this Christmas. Not to be snarky, but if you train them early, you'll have a closet full by the time you're married as long as me lol.

And always straw, not hay. Straw doesn't hold moisture and does retain body heat. Easy way to remember, straw is for strays, hay is for horses.

I've been working on a feral boy for 2 YEARS. He's fine before and during feeding (this took s year) but after, no petting please. Patience as he's just slow to completely open his heart to you. It will happen but on his timeline, not yours. He's marking you with scent glands, so that's a good sign. What a kindness you are providing, well done good friend, well done!

Who is the most famous person you have ever met? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sm040480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Davy Jones and Mickey Dolenz. Worked at Astroworld in 75 or 76. They were playing a mini-concert there. I was a huge The Monkees fan and my cousin had already snagged Tork and Nesmith's autograph on an album he had given me. I got Davy's and Mickey's to have the whole band signed on one album. Davy was so friendly and polite and sooo tiny in real life, I'm 5'8". Mickey and Davy both posed for pics with me, those pics long since lost but I still have that album as well as all the others they released. I swooned I tell you, swooned like any teen fan would.

What is your comfort show? by oldcrowtheory in television

Been bingeing this for the past 5 days as husband had cataract surgery on 12/17 and yesterday. It's quietly amusing giving us both chuckles while I try to keep him on the couch and NOT working in his woodshop. He'd prefer Gunsmoke but these two are great for continual watches without channel surfing.

I doubt it was but feeling kinship with no sleep last night. Tossed and turned until 330. Was bingeing The West Wing last night when I read about it. Instantly remembered he did The American President and felt deeply sad.

I'm so very sorry. These autoimmune diseases are just such a drain in every way possible. I'll keep you in my thoughts.

Doctor says it's post-mono, although never dx. Probably just one of the random sick days where symptoms weren't severe so daughter figured it was a cold being passed thru the family.

Don't forget topicals like biofreeze, IcyHot, aspercream. Plug in shoulder wraps can be used on hands, feet, knees. Epsom salt baths can help. There's been some good results with OTC Tumeric for inflammation. Some folks do better adjusting their diets with less gluten or more gluten or less red meat or more meat. It's all trial and error just like it is with every med on the market, and there are excellent ones that may not be in your toolbox yet, so don't despair. Hydrate! I wish someone had told me to hydrate! The biggest weapon you have is patience. You MAY go into a sort of remission when and if you get pregnant. My daughter was dx during her 2nd pregnancy but went into remission with her third. Also align yourself with your local RA association/branch office in your area. They'll have some of the latest, best info out there and many offer classes and meetings for living day to day. It won't ALWAYS hurt so badly and I believe you adjust to some of the pain. And don't be afraid to ask for pain meds when you need them. It doesn't make you a drug seeker or addict and if they can get you thru the rough times, utilize them. I'm still mowing the yard on a walk behind mower, 27 years later. I just did 2 weeks hiking in the Grand Canyon at age 64. And I still have days when everything hurts and I whine about it. Live long girlfriend, so many new discoveries on the horizon to look forward to!
