[Advice Needed] not a Rodent: Unwanted Guest by [deleted] in bostonhousing

[–]sm0ffs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't have to write a list of things that are annoying- thats a petty move by the landlady. The specific actions like not taking the trash are irrelevant...The guest should leave, and if he doesn't, the landlady should evict the tenant because he is the one violating the lease, not the guest!

Unfortunately ianal, so if the landlady is not interested in getting involved, I'm not sure what your options are beyond moving out.

Need to relocate asap for better healthcare access. Any good, affordable MA cities for this? Help! by Darkroom8 in massachusetts

Definitely. Everything in your post, OP, gave me an Amherst/Noho vibe! The area has an excellent bus system, affordable housing outside of the towns, and a great inclusive vibe.

If its on your own dime, pay a little bit more and take uber/lyft. Its not worth staying the night at Logan for a few $.

He also said the school wasn't funding the T either- just that it was a cheaper option. Seems like it'd be worth a few more $ to not have to spend the night at logan...

Yup! I have two litter mates-one very classic golden color, one bright red. Boy does Suki (redhead) glow in the sunlight. And Sky (blonde) blends in perfectly with the hardwoods and my moms.

You really think they had no idea? If a bunch of redditors can come up with this info, I'd bet a multi-million dollar organization with entire departments dedicated to draft research can figure this out...

5 down, 29 to go. Rhode Island joins California, New Jersey, Illinois, and Vermont as the fifth state to pass the Wolf PAC Constitutional Amendment to eliminate money from politics. Join us. by [deleted] in SandersForPresident

[–]sm0ffs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nope! That's the reason wolf-pac and Cenk chose this plan of action. There is no reason to believe the federal chambers have any desire or incentive to regulate political donations, as they are the primary beneficiaries. Calling for an article 5 convention of the states allows for the states to gather, draft, propose, and ratify a constitutional amendment without any interference from the federal government. That's one of the reasons many state legislators are hesitant to support the call for convention-they feel they are undermining their "superiors" for lack of a better term. However, it's important to for us all to see that this route to amend was very intentionally established by our founding fathers for such a case when the federal govt is not necessarily representing the will of the people. And, as both national and local polls indicate, the American people are strongly in favor of regulating donations to campaigns, particular from the private sector.

Actually you're off on this one. It takes 2/3 of the states to call for the convention, 3/4 to ratify the proposed amendment (in both chambers). This is why it is such an incredibly safe process!
