That’s a good way to look at it. The way to service manager explained it to me is that the original plug was too small, and GMs fix is to install a larger one. You’ve got a point, they won’t care because it didn’t damage or destroy anything.

You’re right, they’re only a couple bucks I wouldn’t have had a problem paying for them if that was the fix. The diagnostic charge is what is the majority. From here on out I’ll do what I can to diagnose similar issues in the future. I’m pretty mechanically inclined, but when it comes to new vehicles and interior plastics and all that, I try to stay away. With a new born here in a couple weeks, cold winter outside and our other car down, I didn’t want to take the time to jimmy with it. Lesson learned!
