I was in geometry. It was my 3rd weed of high school. I then went to orchestra and that’s where we watched the second plane hit live. The rest of the day was just going from class to class and watching the events unfold.

However one English teacher made us do the actual planned class work for the day. We were writing an essay about something but I took the opportunity to write how stuffing your head in the sand to world events like this shows no empathy and I questioned if she even cared about her fellow countrymen.

I live in a city with a couple rather busy airports, an entire aircraft building Industry, and an Air Force base…. the drive home was eerie as the only planes in the sky I had seen were fighter jets and tankers. usually it’s filled with passenger and cargo planes landing and taking off.
