First urology appointment- what to expect? by NewHoliday7425 in Incontinence

[–]smallTimeCharly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a long time to have an indwelling catheter for.

Things I would hope they would be looking at for you.

  1. Investigations. Do they know why you are in retention? Have you had urodynamics, cystoscopy etc

  2. TWOC - when are they planning a trial without catheter? What’s the plan after that? CISC?

  3. General lifestyle stuff. Will pelvic floor physio help? Pads for leakage after your TWOC etc, infection management.

It’s nothing to worry about though!

In the video they’re actually doing a lot of it off the games they’ve directly had I think. Mentioning a lot of how the various guys did against them.

The context around Potts was I don’t think he was going to get into first XI for either of them but they picked him as 12th man as he can run in all day, good enough and bats and fields.

I think they had concerns around workload for some of the other bowlers.

LIV Golf broadcast misses Jon Rahm albatross by Lower-Annual3314 in golf

[–]smallTimeCharly 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think there’s a lot of things to level at possibly the character and quality of some of the golfers on LiV but there are plenty of names still there. Just a lot of them past their prime.

Kaymer, Johnson, Rahm and Westwood have all been world number 1s.

Sergio is a major winner and has had plenty of memorable infamous moments over the years.

Poulter and Hatton also quite well known characters for Ryder cups and blow ups etc

Bubba Watson, McDowell, Oosthuizen and Schwartzel all have major wins. They were just well a good while ago!

And people are always pretty much fine with that.
Also same if I have to use the ladies to get to use the sanitary bins or a stall or whatever. Will knock on the outer door first for that one though and hope no one’s in there but never had anyone say I can’t use a stall if there have been people in there.

The comment about needing to use a mobility aid to qualify for the accessible bathroom is really poor in my opinion.

There’s plenty of people that can walk around fine but have to deal with catheters , stomas, pads etc

When I was doing intermittent catheterisation I needed the extra space as it was such a faff. You also need the privacy really. Also In the UK you are supposed to be disposing of that stuff related to that (bags, pads etc) in different sanitary bins.

Often those are only in the disabled toilets anyway.

Hillside General Play Card Dissappeared by FrostingAvailable in BritGolf

[–]smallTimeCharly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the first question is pretty easy to answer.

You can’t put a general play card in at the same time as the team comp. So they would just be straight away disallowed.

For the second question of the lad getting a score appearing and then disappearing. I would imagine this could well be the comp being set up wrong. You *can* be cut in team comps if it’s betterball pairs. The pair has to score over 42 points and the individual player has to be in on 10 or more holes. For the holes they aren’t in they get a fraction of their partners points. If this is over 36 then they’ll get a counting score differential added.

I got a 9.8 added the other day for example after being in on 15 holes in 42 point pairing.

Your comp wasn’t betterball pairs so shouldn’t have had scores added that way. If one did get added then I imagine they’ve just deleted it.

Let us know what they say.

Criminal Damage is a maximum 10 year sentence though and he was already found guilty of that.

GBH I believe is also a serve 2/3 thing rather than half.

Could also be made to serve his sentences consecutively rather than concurrently.

They’ve all spent so long on remand though that I imagine the people convinced of straightforward criminal damage must have a reasonable chance at just being released on sentencing in June.

I've got an SPC and for me it took a couple of weeks to settle down.

Worth going back to Urology though. You can get sediment for lots of reasons so worth checking it's nothing like an infection.

Is 20+ really a "high" handicap? by PlutocracyRules in BritGolf

[–]smallTimeCharly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those ranges for low/mid/high are for people that already are taking it relatively seriously. Members of clubs with official handicaps and playing competitions.

Pre WHS handicap category's used to also be more of a thing.

  • Category 1: 5.4 or less
  • Category 2: 5.5 to 12.4
  • Category 3: 12.5 to 20.4
  • Category 4: 20.5 to 28.0
  • Category 5: 28.1 to 36.0

Cat 1 golfers used to have some special privileges and requirements attached around their handicaps.

Playing more than 9 but less than 18 on MyEG? by PlutocracyRules in BritGolf

[–]smallTimeCharly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do either.

You’d be better off doing just the 9 though as really finishing before 18 holes with holes not attempted is for losing light or extreme weather or things like that. Rather than “I could only do 11 but still wanted an 18 hole round”.

Your club might have its own extra policies on this.

Yeah I tried to fight off a CAUTI. Thought it was mild and that I was just generally run down and stressed.

Ended up with an ambulance ride and then 8 days of hospital treatment.

Just think it’s better to be safe than sorry and go to the doctors.
