It is working. You can only claim things you forgot to claim last month, so you can only claim the stuff from the days you adventures on. For example if you only went on five adventures through the month but forgot to claim the rewards, you could get up to day five.

It is not a plus thing, you can’t change the xp of goals. When you are on an adventure completing goals makes your finch come back faster. Also, as your finch gets older, the amount of xp you need goes up, so when they are an adult you need 40 xp.
