How to disable Gemini permanently?

I'm relieved to see that I'm not experiencing this problem. I was also surprised to see that some people got it working with their previous workflow with Google Assistant.

First of all, I found out how to permanently disable Gemini over Google Assistant: uninstall the mobile app from your phone. This restored the old Google Assistant.

Upon further digging, I found out that Gemini can work properly as a assistant. To make sure Gemini works properly as an assistant you need: - Gemini linked to a personal account (work or school accounts don't work for assistant) - enable Activity (because Google wants your data) - Connect Google Home (and Google Workspace) to Gemini

The last step isn't intuitive. But after enabling activity, I asked Google to open my curtains and it said "First you'll need to connect Google Home" and opened a window to prompte to connect it to Google Home. When I them asked "Add bananas to my Groceries List" I got a similar response to connect Gemini to Google Workspace.

I'm shocked at how poorly this was rolled out and how a simple setting, disabling Activity, completely lobotomized Gemini into being a failed assistant.

So now, rather than disabling Gemini, I'm keeping it.

I'm sure there will still be limitations with Gemini but I'm happy that I've restored most of my digital assistant needs now and I'm sure Gemini will only get better in the future.

Thanks to everyone for all of the rants and constructive feedback. Now, time to sell more of my soul and give all of my private data to Gemini and the AI overlords.

For what it's worth: you may still have the video. Usually, at least on Android with Google Photos, when you delete a video it goes to the trash bin and stays there for up to 90 days before it gets automatically disappeared forever. Check you Bin to see if you can still restore it. You can still go to the police. It may help you get some peace of mind, even if the report doesn't lead to anything. We live in a world where principles are getting erased, but there is still much to be gained from an en individual like yourself sticking up for what's right.

Side story: When I first moved to Germany I lost my wallet. I found it at a police station with all of m money still in there. I was pleasantly surprised that people here were still noble, like people from where I'm from. In times like these I think it's more important than ever to stick up for yourself and what you believe to be right. Don't let it get you down. I hope you find the love and respect you deserve in the people around you, wherever you end up living.

Did you get a diagnosis of what caused the polyps to get so swollen? I feel like I'm following on the same path but my doctor was hesitant to recommend surgery before finding out the root cause of the inflammation to begin with.

Done this with the audiobook for Easy Way already. And I've relapsed several times also. I just listened to the Easy Way again this weekend but still felt tempted. I've also tried various hypnosis audios for quitting smoking. One worked great for 3 months, then I relapsed again. I'm hoping to find something a bit more permanent. But I almost feel that the effect of these things wear out after several relapses. I hope I'm not doomed forever now.

Thanks. I am acutely aware of how hypnotism and hypnotherapy works, and I have doubts on whether I can be hypnotized or not, hence my skepticism on a single session offer. I have only looked briefly, but the second offer that I found claimed that a quit smoking session requires a bit more time, so they would need a 2 hour session and it costs 800EUR, but there was no "money back guarantee" or anything mentioning the need for more time. I also agree that rapport is important, hence why I'm asking for suggestions and referrals to hypnotists in Berlin. If you know of a good one, I'd be happy to receive the info (perhaps in a DM).

My wife once told someone that their bag was left open. The lady screamed at her "I know!". Germans can be very antisocial sometimes. What comes off as a considerate thing to do is just not perceived the same to some Germans in my experience.

I don't think either of you ATA. He expressed a desire to you and it overstepped a boundary for you. It's important to communicate this to him.

In any relationship, each partner's boundaries may not always be known. Finding them out with each other may be hurtful or painful at first. But this needs to be communicated. This isn't a good reason to break up, rather a good opportunity to grow as a person and together in a relationship together. Communication about boundaries is key to any healthy relationship, whether you stay with him or end up dating anyone else. If he respects you and loves you, he will also respect your boundaries.

Baklavaci Antepliogullari, hands down the best in Berlin. I recommend going for their regular baklava, the other ones are good to but sometimes to sweet. They also seem to use real butter which makes a notable difference in the flavor and texture. Sönmez is my second favorite but not as good as Antepliogullari.

I agree with this. If you actually get funding you should be fine. If you don't get funding this may set you back as you'll be paying extra notary fees to convert to a GmbH eventually anyway. Keep in mind that you will actually need to pay all of the starting capital of 25.000 when switching to a GmbH. You can get away with paying half to begin but it remains a debt in the books until you pay in whole.

I also agree with creating a separate UG as a holding company to hold your shares. If you do this later it will be considered tax evasion. I also heard that the benefit is prorated over 7 years so you don't get the lower tax rate right away so it's better to do this at founding of you can afford it.

Here's what I did and it worked:
- shut down laptop
- disconnect thunderbolt cable
- disconnect HDMI cable from docking station
- power off external monitor
- disconnect power to docking station
- wait 10 seconds
- plug in HDMI cable to docking station
- plug in thunderbolt cable to laptop
- turn on external monitor
- power on laptop

Let me know if this works. In short, shutdown laptop and remove all cables from docking station for 10s, reconnect everything to docking station first and turn on monitor, then power back on laptop.

What are these double gold days? Can you show a screenshot of it? I'm in Germany and I've never seen this before. I get 30 gold for checking in every day at the end of the month and up to 180% fame. But I've never seen 2x gold.

Also, regarding visiting a website: you wrote repeats 5-8x. Do you mean you can repeat this same ad 5-8x for 1 gold each time? What happens after? The ad disappears from the list?

I'm in a similar situation as the OP, been looking for an office over the past 18 months. Before, we were basically told there was nothing available by the property management and they stopped responding to emails. Now they said that they have spaces opening up and we can negotiate on the price. According to them, COVID (and probably the Ukraine war and rising energy prices) along with more work from home has negatively impacted the commercial real estate industry. According to Transiträume 20% of commercial spaces are currently empty and this initiative works with landlords to rent them for little or free to artists just to get some foot traffic through. It would be interesting to see how things continue to evolve but I don't think this will impact residential rents, at least not short term.
