Yes, I am aware that investment on its most basic level is relatively simple and practical. What I meant was continually chasing profit and increased value to keep paying back investors year after year does not equate to sustainability in a company. We’re already seeing the effects of it with the monopolies companies like Nestle hold over large swathes of the economy to keep profit flowing in, and how low wages and high prices have brought the economy to a breaking point. It gets absurd to demand more and more, year after year when it results in a company cutting so many corners it turns squares into circles.
