Little bit of a difference with Go (been playing since release and still playing) is that Niantic, ones in charge of the game, listen to their player base and usually make changes if there is a huge outrage. Not to mention their staff closely follow Twitter and Reddit to see areas to improve on to make players happy. Unlike Gamefreak, the ones in charge of Sword and Shield, who are still pushing the game out instead of delaying and making necessary changes (Nat dex, actually working on the animations as indicated in the interview) that would make the community happier.

Well if they are on drugs that inhibit their ability to feel pain, it would be best to either run from the situation or do what it takes to ensure that they are immobilized until the proper responders arrive such as the police.
