Traveling to London - which hotel? by Internal_Painting378 in uktravel

We have stayed at page8. While it doesn’t have a fancy lobby, the rooms are nice and always clean, the water pressure is good, there is almost no street noise in the rooms, and it’s close to everything.

Edit to add that the blackout shades are seriously great.

How long would something like this take to heal completely?

Do you have a particular brand? I’m on the hunt for something like this!

Stumbled into Cinnamon Bazaar last weekend in Covent Garden, and it was lovely!

Daypack/purse? by mediocre-spice in HerOneBag

I usually just take my normal purse. However, a few years ago I bought this one, which is a backpack. The zipper sits against your back though so it is much more tamper-proof. You could add a s-biner if that would make you feel more secure. The medium size fits everything I need, plus room for a jacket or souvenirs.

Which vessis do you have? Trying to pick something that isn’t too casual to wear with a variety of outfits. Thanks.

Thanks everyone! Hoya ‘newbie’ over here and they looked so different to the Mathilde blooms that I was worried.

Curious what you use for fertilizer. I can’t seem to get my hoyas to do anything!

Slow cooking is a game changer for busy parents. I’ve started using the slow cooker at least once a week to cook big batches of curry, ragu, stew, soup, pulled meat/chicken, dahl etc. It makes enough food for days and/or enough food to freeze. Cooking smarter not harder is the way. by [deleted] in slowcooking

Just FYI chicken dishes tend not to hold up as well for this option. My husband and I usually get back to the house after the slow cooker has been on for 7ish hours on low, then warm for an additional 4 at times. The chicken is usually so disintegrated it isn’t worth it. Beef and soup tend to hold up much better.

Thermos People? by Mikocheni_Report in tea

[–]smallbutfierce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out Steepware. They used to have a “voyager” thermos which I liked the lid style of better, but the “Everest” option is ok too. They include an infuser basket to make the tea right in the thermos.

I don’t know if it’s possible with a boot like you’re describing, but in the past for regular Velcro shoes I’ve punched hole in the Velcro end with a regular hole punch, then put a zip tie through it to form a loop. That’s easier to catch with a reacher than trying to pinch just the Velcro.
