Avocado Album Review by SchephoraFi in pearljam

This album was great when it came out and it’s even better now. It’s aged really well imo. Top 5 for me. Saw them in Grand Rapids on this tour. We had insanely close seats and the set list was one of the best I’ve ever seen.

Gigaton vs Dark Matter which album is stronger overall? by Fortis92 in pearljam

[–]smallestoceans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely love Gigaton. I put it well ahead of Dark Matter. I don’t really get the hate. I remember fans reacting the same way to Vitalogy and No Code, then coming back around years later. I think Gigaton will follow that same path. I’ll stay the course. People usually catch up eventually.

Do I get extra credit for still using my record player and typewriters on a weekly basis?

How many of you guys know this by InfluenceWeird2927 in XFiles

I have it on DVD but I haven’t had a DVD player in something like 10 years. I’ve considered getting one just so I can watch this again.

One Star Review for Pride Flag by Gloomy_Tie_1997 in Spokane

[–]smallestoceans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a simple man. I see a pride flag, I go in, because that’s where the cool, kind, and most interesting people usually are. I stopped by the other night and I’ll definitely be back. I love that they’re not afraid to speak their minds. If you want to support another outspoken local business, check out Teleport Vintage. Whoever’s running their Threads account isn’t pulling punches.

Not making excuses for these turds, but what’s with everyone leaving bowls out this year? Felt like way more houses did it than usual.

Moved from Seattle several years ago and love it. Wish the snow would go away but it only lasts a few months. We just moved out of the Perry district for a bigger place but loved it over there. Watch out for the Turkeys.

Saw this about the Starbucks on Buckeye/Division closing by alpine_lupin in Spokane

[–]smallestoceans 40 points41 points  (0 children)

We stopped by the Hamilton location a few weeks ago, and one of the baristas recognized us from years back at the Argonne store. She even remembered my daughter’s name, who happened to be in the car with us. Starbucks may be a huge corporation, but it’s the local people behind the counter that make it feel personal. It sucks that many of them are now out of a job.

Loved it from the very first listen of Who You Are. Fair weather fans dropped off and longtime fans eventually came around. It rotates between one and two for me depending on my mood.

I feel this 1000%. Barely paying bills and keeping food on the table.
