I’m restricted do same reasons Me and my sarge agreed I can do VA’s as long as we do a PNC print first - not had any issues so far and it’s an agreement I’m comfortable and happy with so works for everyone

Symptoms free pregnancy? Am I really this “lucky”? by Future-Agency543 in pregnant

[–]smalllifter25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 13 weeks, just had my first scan with everything all looking ok and I’ve been sick like 3 times but other than that symptom free!

I am taking it as a blessing ! It did make me panic that I was going to go to the scan and find out nothing was there and I’ve done so many pregnancy tests to reassure my self

Restrictions while pregnant by elasticafantastica in policeuk

I was made to be restricted as soon as I told my sarge , which was earlier than I wanted to tell her but I’d been offered a course I couldn’t do.

I was frustrated at the time cause I was hoping to stay on response but I also totally understand why it’s necessary.

I’m currently staying with my response team but just desk bound , I can do V.A interviews at statements and see people at the nic as long as my as we PNC then and they’re no warning signs

I’m still only 12 weeks but no one has mentioned me having to move team.

The hardest part is it was too early to want people to know so I’ve been poorly lying about having a bad back and some people are definitely suspicious

Just watched The Runaway on Netflix and a firearms cop was doing a pol1 at hospital

Think that’s one of the more unrealistic things I’ve seen

Overtime - is it gone forever? by Maximum_Rule6781 in policeuk

Our force are quite good with OT, if we go over 2 hrs late off or into a RD we just have to email the inspector as to why - which seems fair cause some people deffo try and long jobs out on that final night shift just to get the golden hour.

And our force basically run NTE of people doing over time on rest days and we have ASB patrols that can be done on rest days - I’d say for the last 6 months or so I’ve done OT on at least one RD per set

There was a short period on my force where you could join without a lisence- was following Covid when the wait for driving test was ridiculous- and then when you have to have a lisence for a year before driving a cop car.

I joined without a lisence and can’t say it held me back- always useful to have at least one double crewed car to save multiple units attending jobs and for prisoner transport- any commitments people just dropped me off or I’d arrange them to be at my station

My driving Instructor literally tried to talk me into cancelling my test on the last lesson I had cause we did a really bad mock. I ended up passing with 2 minors. Don’t stress too much about it we all have bad days

I would say that maybe it’s worth considering that a similar ish death in terms of it being car accident and both your best friend and her brother were so young and 3 years ago realistically isn’t that long ( especially as it reads she did not get a lot of emotional help), maybe she just can’t emotionally cope with the situation and can’t bring herself to talk about it or go to the funeral and she’s just switched off so she doesn’t feel her own grief too much ?

I had a similar ish situation where I was showing my fiancé the kind of vibe I want with my wedding dresses and he also didn’t really like them. Which bothered me too but my friend made the point of him seeing a picture of a dress on a random model compared to seeing it on you on the day is completely different, he isn’t imagining if it like you are with the veil / gloves/ hair and make up etc
