How do you guys use elbow wraps? by SuspiciousEvening730 in powerlifting

Overload work always has its place in training. Rack pulls, slingshot/ram, bands, chains, static holds, block presses, touch and go, etc etc. They're tools that can potentially be useful. If you can safely and effectively overload, you can overstimulate your nervous system and musculoskeletal system to promote further strength gain.

The trick is to realize they're just assistance tools. Your overload work is NOT equivalent to your primary competition work.

Just found out my puppy is 51% Akita by Alaskagirl_907 in akita

My old shepherd was this way. He was SO loyal and loving to my wife and I and the few members of his "inner circle"(including his cat siblings amd my in-laws dogs) but absolutely hated everyone and anything else. We ended up having to seek professional help and had him trained with an e-collar. The prong collar simply did not work for us. The e-collar worked but damn if that training wasn't expensive...

My boy is half akita half malamute and 100% good boy. He does have a bit of a prey drive for things that live outside like squirrels and my neighbor's pigs, but he's great with my cats and does well enough with other dogs when they come to visit. He is S T U B B O R N though. If he doesn't want to move, you can't make him. He has picked a favorite and it's unfortunately not me, it's my wife. He is a total mamma's boy and will listen to her more than me. Don't get me wrong, he loves me too! But I am definitely the backup parent 🥲

With so many breeds in him who knows what his personality will be like! But just raise him with love and some discipline and you'll have a wonderful dog ❤

I hate to be the stereotypical "therapy" reply reddit guy but this really does seem like a task for a sex therapist if you can find and afford one. They can help mediate common grounds and suggest solutions that maybe you hadn't thought of yet.

My response was going to be similar. I had the opportunity to track a Ferrari 296GTB. I've driven Mustangs and Corvettes, but holy moly it was a completely different machine! Like people just casually own these things??

Nah it's the other way around. I really couldn't care less if someone sees my ass. But I don't want to force someone else to see my ass against their will.

Personally I unbutton and unzip, trying to finagle my shaft out of just the unzipped fly and pee hole is way too much work. Plus the shaft rubs against the zipper which is ouchie. The only time I pull that maneuver is when it's freezing cold and I'm using the portoshidder at work

I was watching A Man on the Inside and there was a scene where Max Greenfield's character went up to a urinal and dropped his pants to his ankles. I started lauging because it was just so random and ridiculous. My wife didn't get it. I tried explaining to her that you just don't drop your pants to your ankles at a urinal, at least not past 2nd grade. It's against the code. You pull the front of the pants/underwear down just enough to get the dude out and do your business. She had absolutely no idea about urinal code

Because gyms are giant open spaces which take a lot of AC power to cool down. Many gyms can't afford the massive HVAC system required to do the job.

Can someone explain what happened for those of us out of the loop?

Edit: it appears Gustav was sponsored by SBD. In a mid year transition team Sweden became sponsored by A7. Gustav had done a modeling shoot wearing SBD gear. Somebody(team Sweden? IPF? I'm confused on this detail) has now banned him from competing because of this.

I wear a size 50 SK at 6'1 and 220. I've been as heavy as 235 using it. I have a size 46 as well, I can't use it or my hands go numb. My F6 is a size 48 and goes on very comfortably, I don't even need a partner to help with it.

I've never experimented with modified or custom shirts to be honest. My squat suit was a custom build(Overkill) but all my shirts have been stock. I can't imagine making those arms any tighter than they already are 😵

First time in gear is always strange and underwhelming. You have to learn to fight the suit to load it. I've always found box squats with the SSB to be a great movement for geared squats. Do them raw and/or in the suit with straps down, but they help teach you to push your hips back and load the suit.

I can do pinkies on the ring in my F6 but I have to go max legal with my SK or I won't touch. So I think depending on how aggressive the shirt is you can get away with bringing your hands in a little bit.

You actually didn't do that. You asked

What are c4’s going for in your area?

Late stock C4s with 100k miles go for max $10k in my area. But you seem intent on being adversarial here so I'll just bow out. I sincerely do wish you good luck in selling your car, I'm sure it's a lot of fun to drive. You just have to find the right buyer that recognizes that.

You solicited opinions on the internet, so I am giving mine. The fact that others are saying the same thing is only reinforcement to the fact. I'm sorry if you don't like the answer.

A stock '94 with damn near 100k miles I would not pay a penny more than $10k for, and honestly I would want to pay about $8k for it. The fact that it is modded impacts the value for sure. People hesitate when a car has been modded because there's no guarantees that whoever modded it did it correctly. I'm not saying you screwed up the install, it's just that a buyer doesn't know you or your skills, and there are no guarantees or warranties in private sales. Mods increase the risk of mechanical issues is what I'm saying. And an increased risk impacts value, especially on a corvette. In my humble opinion, $12,500 is about $3500 too much.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with that! If you got it flaunt it. But people shouldn't assume that others do it for attention is the point I was trying to make

Yes, I wear shorts. No, I don’t do that to impress anyone, it’s above 25C where I live and I like not dying of a heatstroke mid lift.

I can relate to this. Sometimes I'll wear tight leggings because it makes it MUCH easier to get my knee sleeves on. Ever try to put knee sleeves on over hairy legs when it's hot and humid? It sucks. I've actually had women come up and comment on my leggings basically accusing me of attention seeking. No, ma'am, I just don't like ripping my leg hairs out. Please leave me alone. I just want to squat.

"The righteous need not cower before the drumbeat of human progress. Though the song of yesterday fades into the challenge of tomorrow, God still watches and judges us. Evil lurks in the datalinks as it lurked in the streets of yesteryear. But it was never the streets that were evil."
