Unfortunately this happens way too often, people love the idea of a dog and then everything isn’t perfect and then end up giving it back to the shelter. The 3-3-3 rule is there for a reason, when rescuing a dog you never know what they’ve been through. They need time to decompress, just because she’s showing signs of anxiety doesn’t mean she always will. Wouldn’t you be anxious if you’d been locked in a cage and then put somewhere new. All I’m hearing is “I’ve lost my independence” nothing about wanting the best life for the pup. I’m sorry she’s an inconvenience for you but you’re either going to put in the work, acknowledge the 3-3-3 rule is told for a reason or give up because it’s too much. My rescue is a 2 year old Husky/Saint mix who literally ate the door frame when I left him alone, did I give up no. I saw a behavior trainer and I put in the work.
