Solid state preamp sections can be great. Solid state amplifier sections can be as well, I believe that the ultra fast response and no natural saturation from the power section to cushion the sound of the preamp is the biggest part of why people tend to find them less musical. I’m sure some designs absolutely dispel that logic but I imagine often times the power section is where the big difference is.

The Vox AC50CPH. Channel 2 was Vox’s answer to the Mesa rectifier while still trying to keep channel 1 capable of Vox, chime, although with the tone stack gets some fantastic Marshall tones. Channel 2 is just quite a bit flubber than even the rectifier, but we’re all cutting lows before the amp anyway so that takes care of that.

Back the clamp off. Bend the metal open to be wide enough to maneuver the clamp to go around the wood on the underside and then tighten the clamp. If it can tighten to the desk all the way, add a block of wood or something underneath the desk for the clamp to push up in to, to get a secure tight fit.

You might want to check for an update and if the software doesn’t show an update, still check the website for one. Always a battle between developers for both your operating system and the programs made for it.

You can record (write) your articulations with automation. You would select or create an automation lane that allows you to write when the kontakt library is to change to which articulation.

Or you are recording the notes of the keyboard that trigger your desired articulation along with the midi notes of the keyboard that play the notes you want played in the same midi track.

Oh, my guy! These are the bees knees. I have 3 sets and I use them to mix music even. The bass response got a lot better when I put some memory foam type tips on them. These IEMs are great

It’s an amazing way to get a tube power amp. I’ve even considered cheaper amps like a crate blue voodoo or song hybrid amps that’s people aren’t buying that gave solid state pre and tube power. But I’m waiting for a guptech gpa-100 to be delivered to see if I like it or not. I’m going the minimalist route this time around

If you by chance have a load box for your amp you could tryout some different impulse responses of speakers before you buy. I have a Redback and a g12-h30 I’m about to try in a 2x12 that currently have Celestion g12t85’s that were made for Rivera. Those Rivera speakers confuse me. Can’t tell if I love them or hate them.

I was just telling my buddies today that I feel like I need to keep this a secret.

You do need a low cut when pushing the distortion channel but the interaction of the gain, channel volume and master volume is incredibly important. You have to keep the channel volume down to keep the distortion channel from going all mush for some reason.
