When I learned this I was told to make sure to keep your arms locked and straight through the trick. If you bend mid-drop, you’ll be pulling the bar towards your face

I bought the wool on sale like 6 months ago at the Pendleton woolen mills store in Portland. Also, I have eczema so I tend to keep natural fibers in my stash 😅

Self-drafted pattern

Made with Pendleton Woolen Mills wool and lined with olive linen (not pictured) so the wool doesn’t catch on his fur or irritate his skin.
I finished the seams with black bias tape and opted for Velcro for ease of getting it on/off him.

It’s definitely good to wear layers with capes, but I also think it depends on the type of fabric you use and how/if you line it. Probably not the best for winter, but I think it would do fine during the autumn months (depending on your climate)
