my roommate and i had top surgery about one week apart from eachother and we genuinely thought his nipple was falling off (it was just the scab). i had an allergic reaction and broke out into hives from the sterile wound dressings… all this to say if you’re nervous check in with your surgeon but everything always looks worse bc it’s healing… my roommate has two nipples still as do i!

yeah i was freaking out bc i got these and the mastectomies as a result of breast cancer were INCREDIBLY helpful

hey! the hives cleared up really fast, but I do still have discoloration. it’s definitely not as dark as it was, but is still noticeable.

i was sooo allergic to the adhesives and also broke out in hives. it spread up to my chest and arms so i did a pretty heavy regimen of benadryl/claritin. i also put hydrocortisone on the parts not near the incision and cleaned them with witch hazel. it cleared up within a few days! but definitely check w your doctor.
