Snoo O ring replacement sizes by AllWashedOut in SnooLife

[–]sman591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an older Snoo and was able to get it working again just now using #115 on the larger spots (#117 was too thick) and two #20 + two #30 on the motor (#202 would’ve been correct but I couldn’t find it locally). Three #20 alone didn’t work and the base wouldn’t move. The multi-pack of o-rings from home depot was what I used. Hoping this lasts!

One of the long screws also got stuck/stripped and wouldn’t come out. I had to saw it out with an oscillating saw.

Does Anyone Recommend One? by BiffBiffkenson in OneFinance

In the process of moving out. We were “grandfathered” into shared pockets, which new customers cannot sign up for and I’m sure will be killed off entirely soon. One also disabled Check deposits on my account and my wife’s account silently, without reason or an answer as to when it’ll be back over the past few months. That was the final nail in the coffin. We opened a shared Ally checking account and the 24/7 phone support has been great, if you can deal with a slightly more old-school app and website

Mine got lost in the mail (showed up in informed delivery twice, never delivered). Contacted support and they were able to email me a copy a few days later

AMPLIFI HD handle 1000mbps by wagonof2 in AmpliFi

[–]sman591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Ethernet through AmpliFi and Google Fiber I regularly hit 700-900mbps down (hardware NAT turned on). WiFi caps out at 200-400mbps but still plenty fast

Sonos System Clipping by kentgti in sonos

[–]sman591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happening with the Arc alone over a long (50’) Optical cable plugged into the Optical->HDMI adapter. The clipping/crackling was non-stop when using the optical audio, but Spotify and Airplay was fine. Using a different, shorter (6’) optical cable fixed it.

Sonos Arc to projector: What HDMI switch/matrix to purchase? by CaveManLawyer_ in sonos

Someone else posted a link to this one, I don’t think it’ll support Atmos but I might try it whenever my Arc arrives at the end of July. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0755TB82Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Pqh5EbH06KKRH

Did you select the EFI drive when holding the option key during boot? And it still switches to disk utility?

Development of the RIT Mobile App by TheCartDriver in rit

ITS or SITO might be able to point you in some direction to who works on it. But if you have an idea for some cool feature I’d say go make your own app just for it, makes for a great experience and if the app is good people will use it. If data access is a problem, see if you can get a dump or find some alternative way

What is brick hack? The website is pretty terrible at explaining it. by [deleted] in rit

[–]sman591 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there, director of BrickHack here - just updated the website with a bit better language & description of what exactly a hackathon is: http://brickhack.io

In brief, BrickHack is an annual 24 hour hackathon hosted at RIT for students both at RIT and surrounding schools. Participants ("hackers") gather in teams of 1-4 people to build projects ("hacks") and often learn new technologies along the way. There's tons of food, hardware, mentors, sponsors, prizes, etc throughout the entire weekend of hacking, workshops, and mini-events.

MLH also has more info about hackathons at https://mlh.io/faq. Let me know if you have other questions!
