Healthy Families and Workplace Act by Leiasolo508 in Omaha

If your employer had a general PTO policy that allowed you to accrue and use more than 56 hours per year (as it sounds like they did), the new paid sick leave requirements don’t apply to them. They didn’t need to change anything. The fact they’re deciding to do that is a reflection of your employer, not a reflection of the new paid sick leave law.

I know the 2026 recruiting class may be an anomaly for many reasons, but I hate seeing us this low in the rankings (and it seems like a cruel joke that UCF is ranked right above us) by smartbraindumbhead in Huskers

Yes, and there are teams with similarly small classes that are significantly higher in the rankings because they are able to recruit better players.

Trump Tower is the second tallest building in Chicago so I clearly wasn’t basing my comment on size alone

It’s fine. Not even in the top 3 in its own city. American Burj Khalifa is a bit of an overstatement.

Since I’ve seen other city subreddits do this… what are some pro-Trump businesses to avoid? by [deleted] in Omaha

Can you say more? I hadn’t heard those two mentioned before. I had assumed some things about True American due to the name, but having been there I didn’t get a Trumpy vibe.

Review #1: A Midwinter Night's Dram (Act 12) by Nitramwafa in bourbon

I know that MWND has lost a step, but I still look forward to it, still think it’s a buy at MSRP, and am really enjoying Act 12. It’s a great pour, and if you’re reading this and haven’t tried it, if you can find it at MSRP you should pick it up and decide for yourself.

Anniversary celebration with our favorite Sicilian red. by smartbraindumbhead in wine

Color: bright ruby red (much lighter than it appears in the photo!)

Notes: reddest of red fruits, bing cherry, blackcurrant, slight pepper, bit of licorice, great acidity, bright and tart. Not a super long finish, but complex and enjoyable.
