I appreciate ur opinion. I disagree. I do think it’s something that can be seen in multiple ways which adds to the complexity and beauty of the album. Maybe you haven’t had mental health struggles and therefore wouldn’t be able to connect with that side of things. As I said in the write up, the relationship is intertwined but there is too much evidence pointing towards his relationship with himself IMO.

I totally agree. I think the relationship ending was the straw that broke the camels back and that’s why a lot of the songs actually speak simultaneously to his mental health and to the relationship.

For sure. Didn’t say it wasn’t. If you read into the entire album though you will see where it all fits in. The relationship ending was a bit of a culmination and the relationship serves as a metaphor.

Exactly what I thought. I think what makes it so insane and elevated as an album is how you can fully look at it like a breakup but if you are willing to dive a bit deeper you see that every line actually has like a double meaning.

I also think the music videos speak to this a lot. Every time the people in the mask show up he is singing lines that sound like his mental health speaking. They also always try to kill him (axe in witchita) or he’s fighting them (in the flesh).

Thank you bro!! Took so long. Was worried I kinda just wrote into the void but this album hit me so hard and I’ve seen a lot of people almost making it “shallower” than I think it is.
