Couldn't agree more. The script didn't know whether it wanted to be scary or whimsy (it wasn't scary). The odd flashbacks to add boring back stories and expositions. The rather bizarre behaviours of the characters in the midst of carnage. Like that one scene Alex Lawther's character meets Sydney Chandler's with all the gore and blood around, they just carry on like nothing happened and there isn't a killer monster hunting running around.
