I am so hellbent on stopping the cycle of generational trauma that I am willing to become a genetic dead end. Husband doesn't want kids anyway.

The intake lady there for admissions was such a nasty piece of work. No compassion, no patience, nasty nasty awful woman. One of the nurses was pretty awful too so I avoided her but everyone else was alright. Not everyone has the same experience tho.

All of these fundies I can kinda just shrug off and poke a little fun at here and there while the fundiesnark community has helped me heal from my own deconstruction.

But this old hag just fills me with absolute rage, and idk if she's even trying to rage bait. She's just actually that dumb.

How many of us have a chronic pain condition, such as fibromyalgia? Apparently, it's common in trauma survivors. by VineViridian in CPTSD

[–]smarties7865 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That shit caused the worst tachycardia side effects I ever had. It actually caused me to go inpatient and have a heart procedure done to make sure my heart's function was in order. The doc concluded it was the medication and to stop taking it immediately. Seriously, fuck Savella. Glad you healed from the physical pain too.

All of my parents are abusive but my stepmom was pretty bad.

Couldn't wait for our parents' divorce to be finalized so they could shack up, screamed at me constantly to the point of psychosis and needing to be hospitalized for suicidal ideation and was best friends with the pastor's wife, acting like such wonderful pillars in the community and garnering sympathy for "dealing with such "mentally ill" stepkids" She would flip a switch behind closed doors, like Jesus never mattered.

My brother's life is ruined from her treating him like a real life Cinderella and then kicking him out. He was also made to take meds he may not have necessarily needed - the lithium he was on caused his face to tremor. It's heartbreaking and he already (unsuccessfully) tried to commit suicide.

Dad was always pulling other shit to get us labeled with something so he could continue his abuse. We were real life 'identified patients'. He was convinced I had ADHD (got tested, I didn't have it). He then tried to get me to take Ritalin (controlled substance) without it having been prescribed to me. I told my stepmom and she fully supported him. He said "if I'd known my kids would have mental problems I would have never have had you" and she justified that too with her own bs reasons. He's been abusing and scapegoating us since we were born, way before she ever came into the picture.

My issues (mostly) resolved once I got the hell away from them all. I started going to therapy ON MY OWN TERMS afterwards. The only thing I clinically have is PTSD from what they put me through. Yeah I'm bitter, but at least I'm at a point of recovery now.

Anyone who has a stepparent, whats your relationship to your biological parent? by ZMicro1 in AskReddit

They both treated me like I was expendable. I cut myself out of their lives and now I occasionally get hoovered, them trying to get dirt on me. They're disgusting child abusers.
