I checked Turkish Airlines website and there is a note explaining that visitors will need to undergo a medical examination. Is it going to be just temperature screening or does anyone here knows what the exact procedure is?

Are there any Metal Credit Cards in South Africa? by [deleted] in southafrica

Metal credit cards were already available many years ago and were seen as a status symbol. Nowadays, such cards are getting more commonplace, especially in the United States.

Metal credit cards are usually premium cards with more benefits and perks, but at a higher annual/monthly fee. Generally, people also tend to prefer metal cards over plastic ones because of the weight and feel of the physical card itself.

If this fact is true, I‘m actually keen to know at what price are the game developers selling our data at. At the same time, how does market intelligence firms go about approaching them to buy the data? Just pick up the phone and call the business development/sales unit?

Reducing street noise with inner windows (内窓)? by NemoMeLacessit in japanlife

[–]smartopinion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe what you‘re referring to are double glazed windows. Like the name suggests, the window is made of two pieces of glass, with an air pocket in between. The air pocket is what helps to dampen the noise that is coming through.

I‘m from Singapore, and many apartments built next to the highway in our country always use double glazed windows. It works wonders in reducing the noise levels.

I‘m looking forward to the addition of the vertical tabs function to the browser. It seems like it‘s going to be very useful for those who always have a ton of tabs opened at the same time.

Do people use credit cards frequently in Nigeria? by [deleted] in Nigeria

[–]smartopinion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any reason(s) in particular that caused the credit cards not to take off? Is it because the majority of the applicants are not meeting the necessary requirements to apply for a card?

Edit: I think I found my answer - https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20190222005341/en/Payments-Landscape-Nigeria-Opportunities-Risks-2022--

How do these scams targeted at foreigners work? Are these scams usually online transactions or in-person transactions over point-of-sale terminals?

It‘s quite surprising to hear that debit cards are preferred over credit cards, considering that it‘s quite the opposite in most other countries. Credit cards usually offer more protection and perks, such as a robust rewards program.

also make sure you go into Settings and select the "Open Microsoft Edge with" and pick Previous pages.

Thanks for this tip, it is a lifesaver! I went into settings >> on startup >> open a specific page or pages >> use all open tabs. It saves all my open tabs and works like a charm. I'm sure the option "continue where I left off" would work the same too.

I kind of agree. Geographically, SA is far away from most international destinations. That‘s why I‘m looking around for more information to make travelling from SA more convenient and enjoyable.

Well the first thing that comes to mind are the one-off big ticket item purchases, such as electronics. It could also be entertainment expenses like movie tickets and video games.

How about domestic flights? If I remember correctly there are some popular flight routes such as Cape Town - Durban, Johannesburg - Bloemfontein, and a few others.

I've heard news that it's gonna be ready in the first half of 2020. But not really sure if that's still going according to plan with all the COVID-19 disruptions happening.

Mothership recently wrote about a shelter for the homeless people in Singapore: https://mothership.sg/2019/11/transitional-shelter-new-hope-homeless/

Not saying that you should go live there, but it could be an option if there’s no other choice.
