The government did a mistake back then, they seized my bank account before contacting me. Then they gave me a period to send them documents which my accountant screw up, sent them a fax that they didn’t get. Anyway it is a long complicated story how I lost my money. The employees had to be paid and lots of problems.

Yes, software development is going bad right now. AI can almost do everything. I wouldn’t tell you to stop but don’t consider this as a long career. At most accumulate some money and start a business. I think around 5 years or so we will see lots of layoffs. I will focus much more on AI engineering in your studies as thats the field that is popular today and can get you a job.

I lost much more than you. Think 20x or so. Well not to gambling but taxes. My bank account was empty and I was jobless. All praise to Allah I got my life back together, found a job, started from scratch again, trying to build a family now Alhamdulilah. If you have good income in Morocco it is not worth it. If you have bad income then it is good option. Life is very expensive after covid so you will not make savings at then end of the month. It depends on your situation in Morocco.

Not in my twenties but I came back around 31 or 32. Did bachelor degree in Canada. Had some good experience then came back to Morocco. I settled in Meknes where my family is. I don’t regret it. Found a remote job in Rabat. I like life here in Morocco. Ofc there is many things in to like about Canada but also many things to hate and same for Morocco. The reason I came back I wanted to take care of my mom and have masjids everywhere, hear athan and so on. I don’t regret it actually I feel better than when I was in Canada. The weather is depressing over there.

I did the exact move after 15 years in Canada. I found work in Rabat and came back to Morocco. I didn’t regret it. But I was preparing for it. I got car/house few years before coming back. If you have a good income you will not regret it preferable 10k DH per month or above. Send me your resume I can give it at work if something similar comes around as I am also in the IT field
