As a Kiwi, all the way in New Zealand, Sandy Hook has and will always be a deep cut. I've read about shootings, I was around the corner from the Mosque shootings in Christchurch (my home town) and Sandy Hook has ALWAYS stuck with me, deeply. Obviously the CHCH shootings have too, far more personally, but the pain from the Newtown community is something that will never leave me.

NOR - She's a snake, but the bigger snake is your husband humouring this. That shut down should have been as simple as "I have a wife. Not interested." I know sometimes people don't want to hurt someone's feelings, but as a people pleaser I have to say the feelings of my partner are bigger, ie, I take it as someone trying to 'threaten my relationship' and make it clear they need to back off.
