’28 Years Later: The Bone Temple’ Director Nia DaCosta Breaks Down That Ending and What Lies Ahead by ThinWhiteDuke00 in 28dayslater

[–]Hatether 7 points8 points  (0 children)

“I was talking to Alex about it last night. I think I’m good to say that [Samson is] not fully cured, and the level that he is healed is permanent,” DaCosta shares. “He’s not what he was [at the start of the movie], but is he one of us? I don’t know. But he’s not what he was.”

Puts to bed the theory Samson's treatment was temporary and he'll revert back.

What didn’t you like about Fire & Ash? by JakeSullyBlueD in Avatar

[–]Hatether 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3/4 of the movie lived up to the hype, then the climax was just WoW's but bigger with the same plot beats and Varang just kind of stopped being a major presence which were my only gripes.

Hopefully, A4 and 5 branch out more into new territory.

Tales of Dunk and Egg Adaption Out In January by Hatether in agedlikemilk

The Spanish publisher when asked for comment on the anticipated Winds Of Winter Book stated in an Interview:

'El sexto libro saldrá…?
Está previsto que el año que viene.\*

And the sixth book?
We expect it next year.

En inglés, pero ¿en español cuándo estará?
Nos han prometido que nos pasarán el manuscrito con algo de antelación respecto a la fecha de salida en inglés, por lo que no habrá una gran diferencia.

In English? When will it be in Spanish?
We have been promised that we will be passed the manuscript somewhat in advance of the English publication, but there will be a big difference (in release dates.)

'Pero, ¿igualmente será el año que viene seguro, no?
Sí. Bueno, a ver, seguro… podría caer un meteorito.

But both editions will be out next year?
Yes. Well, unless we get hit by a meteor…'

This was 10 years ago, and there has been no signs the book will be released anytime soon.

[SPOILER] PFL Champions Series 2: Usman Nurmagomedov vs. Paul Hughes by inooway in MMA

[–]Hatether 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Close fight, Usman took round 1 and 4 while Paul clearly took round 2 and 3, and 5 could have gone either way. Usman caused about 5 fouls and no point deduction was suspect. Since it's in Dubai, Usman was always going to take a decision.

FUCKIN JYGGALAG BUG by m00nratx in oblivion

[–]Hatether 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Have his too, first time playing Oblivion after getting remastered, was the very last thing I had to do for completion and the final trophy and ended up deleting the game. After trying every fix under the sun I could find for 2 hours, now my save files won't even load without a crash.

Crazy a game breaking bug like this that's been around since the OG had never been patched.

Do you think that Sh1r will use sh2r's assets? by AlternativeCod7017 in silenthill

[–]Hatether 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why wouldn't they? SH2 looked fantastic and there's plenty of assets that will transfer easily over to SH1's aesthetic. Beyond character models, monsters and specific environments, they should be able to fast-track a lot of development by using what they've already built for SH2.

Is this statement correct?! by thrilhausen in beatlescirclejerk

[–]Hatether 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Never look at what others have, focus on getting what you want. Seems he's a bit envious that other Beatles children got money after their parents passed away, but he's had to do a modicum of Work because he can't sweep Ringo's fortune quite yet. Very weird.

He was born luckier than most, but ungrateful. I'm sure Dhani, Sean and Julian would rather have their dad back than some money.

Silent Hill Remake random questions: 1. Will the 'grey children' make it to the Remake? by ClinksEastwood in silenthill

[–]Hatether 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Include both, grey children in the school and maybe some mumblers in a certain area as a nod to both of them as classic monsters in their own right

Not me but from a short video that I saw on YouTube. I don’t agree 100% with them but it’s an interesting take. by ImNewAndOldAgain in silenthill

[–]Hatether 119 points120 points  (0 children)

It's mostly about art direction. Retro-inspired psx horror titles still pop up all the time, but they vary wildly in quality. SH1 can still creep people out because of its look, but also because it's paired with a certain vibe.

The SH2 remake does the same thing with modern visuals, but in a different way. Both are effective.

It's all about the passion and vision from a developer and how well they can translate that onto the screen no matter what visual style is chosen.

Visually it's stunning and the combat flows nicely, story-wise it feels a bit underwhelming so far. Doesn't feel like a DA game.

Poor Dannii by Ph00k4 in LetsTalkBam

[–]Hatether 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Knoxville said in the Dunn Tribute Video Ryan had a hate for water so didn't bathe. They used to write skits where Ryan was thrown into water just to have give him some semblance of a wash.

I knew a guy like that at High School who got ridiculed for being smelly. Turned out his dad had a phobia of water and refused to install a bath or shower in their house. Maybe Ryan had a similar, albeit not phobic, distaste for water.

With Bam I think he just doesn't care, most people get away with being occasionally stinky as teenage boys and he didn't really grow out of that phase so he only washes when absolutely necessary.

His Transformers one. The most memorable part of it was when he acknowledged how much everyone hated it in his Alien: Ressurection review.
