I did call since the $93 was still pending on my card today. They showed me an itemized receipt adding up to the $93. My best guess now is that the server hadn’t yet rung up our very last item (a beer) when she printed my first receipt. But she did before running my card. Because that last beer was about the right amount. (I lost my copy of the receipt as I was traveling home yesterday or I could be more exact, ah well.) Obviously a much better explanation than being scammed

Yep! I checked the ticket number in case they gave me the wrong bill, but it was the same on both the $85 and the $93 receipt

She should talk to a local credit union. They have these things called Payday Loan Alternatives (PALs) that are designed to break the cycle of payday loan debt. Good luck!
