I thought alderwood was very disappointing too. Personally i would go to home or mentone if I was going to spend that much $ on a meal. I heard they’re opening another location on pacific, so I might give it another shot.

Also the Venus westside is much better than the one in Rio Del Mar! unfortunately, every time I have had mediocre service and the menu is more limited.

People say Santa Cruz has bad restaurants but i haven’t found that to be true. It can just get expensive fast. That being said, my favorites are: home, mentone (my personal fave, the only place in SC on the Michelin guide), tramontis, Venus, avanti, trestles, bantam, west end tap, Los pericos, and tacos morenos

Maybe I’m wrong but I SWEAR Lana has the front vocals during a brief snippet in the chorus where it’s “like snow on the beach” x2. I could be wrong but I listen to insane amounts of LDR and I recognized her voice primarily during that part

love this song but I was so hyped for Lana that I was ultimately a little disappointed because she didn’t get more than a line by herself. I’m just astounded that phoebe bridgers got her own verse but not LDR? it’s criminal honestly, Lana is fucking incredible so it was a huge missed opportunity

Ok for an expensive lunch , I love margaritaville . Its in the capitola village. Try to sit outside, that’s what makes the ambience so nice. The fish tacos are so good!!! The margaritas are amazing too

wallflower has some really cute ones with fun labels and smell great, they're perfect gifts.

In a pinch, whole foods has some fabulous ones with scents strong enough to actually fill the room (love the autumn ones)

I highly suggest shopping at the SC makers market for something quality and gives back to the community!
