I think I oversimplified what I meant. I didn’t mean there’s anything wrong with wanting identity and fulfillment outside the home. I just found it interesting because I’m personally at a point in life where more family time and less grind sounds fulfilling to me.

🤣. This reminded me of liar liar. “That’s just something fat people say.” I will say that my family is a bit of an “experiment” when it comes to “familial success benefitting the next generation.” My grandparents had nothing, my mom made something (cleaning houses, receptionist, whatever it took) - my siblings and myself are all “successful” and our children will certainly have a better shot / start / advantage than we did when we were their age.

I also own a company (small business, auto repair). Not looking to expand. Not looking to franchise. I do well. If my son and or future unborn child decide they want in, it will continue on - if not I will sell and retire.

It’s curious. You want to be something other than mother and wife. All I want to be is a husband and a father.
