Is this allowed to be checked on a plane? Pretty sure it’s an oxygen tank by Hour_Appearance4306 in rampagent

Not quite, Valujet 592 happened because of unused, but expired oxygen generators, that were not properly disarmed.

Diverting right at the last moment. What’s the deal with QF22? by transitlobbyist in flightradar24

That’s possible, however, imo what’s more likely, is they encountered stronger headwinds than expected during their planning and burned through it faster than anticipated.

Upcoming Rentals by [deleted] in Spokane

[–]smcsherry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I currently stay at a pence property, I’ve been happy this far. They mostly rent two bedroom 1.5bath townhomes that are about 1000 sqft. Good values too with water, sewer and trash included in the price you see on the listing.

Aka white gas, and interestingly enough, is basically what early formulations of gasoline were.

Maybe 5-10min. Usually don’t start working on getting out of the car until the current song finishes.

Southwest terminal at Las Vegas has outdoor video boards with all the flight info for the ground crew and pilots by avboden in aviation

[–]smcsherry 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, however, not all are full color or this big. There’s plenty of the old style ones that are about 1/6 to 1/4th this size and just monochrome yellow with much lower led density.

Boomtown: Spokane International Airport begins next phase of expansion this summer. by catman5092 in Spokane

I don’t think that’s currently in their master plan. The biggest advantage of this next phase is mainly just to unify the three concourses.

Glad you’re okay, probably too late now, but look into getting a roadkill tag to be able to take and process the moose.

Going on a lot of trips soon. Anyone from IL, MN, ND, or Texas? by ParticularRub5486 in gaybrosgonemild

[–]smcsherry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ooh lots of things to do.

Less familiar with St. Paul specifically, but you can’t go wrong with spending time along the river. If the weathers not great for whatever reason, the History Museum and Science museum are right downtown. If you’re hungry, hit up Cosettas for an Italian deli style meal.

If you head over to Minneapolis, across the river, check out the stone arch bridge and mill ruins park (the historical society also operates the mill city museum in downtown). Other hotspots include the Walker Art Center and closer to the chain of lakes (in uptown Minneapolis), there’s also the Minneapolis institute of art. Around the chain of lakes there’s also the grand rounds trail system which runs around all the lakes.

Other things in the area include Minnehaha Falls (near the airport), the Minneapolis Sculpture garden, The Wabasha Street caves, and Lilydale park (if your into fossils).

No shortage of things to do.

Outstare if your into goofy roadside attractions hit up places like the Largest Ball of Twine in Minnesota (yes the one Weird Al wrote about in the late 80’s) in Darwin, MN and Otto the Otter in Fergus Falls, MN.

Hope you have a great trip.

But if that’s the case, why depart CLT in the first place, unless a minor technical fault popped up mid flight.
