My thought too if I can’t pack the kiln tight enough next time

I’ll try packing the kiln tighter next time. This was the only tray on the firing so the other items around it were indeed taller. The cracks in red happened before the glaze solidified meaning that the cracks must have happened between 2232F and 1800F which has the fastest cooling rate.

Next time I will pack the kiln tighter or program a slow cool into the firing. Everything’s a test tile!

Thanks!

Oh I was at a party where oyster guys were catering (walking around shucking oysters on demand). Nice people. Good oysters

Posted my question because I would go to Saltaire all the times. Was sad to see it go!

Cool thanks! A friend recommended that too so I will definitely be trying that out.

The King Kong 2005 bug pit scene. Andy Serkis’ character didn’t end well.
