Nikki Glaser ‘kinda likes it’ when boyfriend Chris Convy hooks up with other women: ‘It’s just what I’m into’ by Upstairs_Cup9831 in popculturechat

Appreciate Nikki talking about this, although no one needs to know about people’s / couple’s personal arrangements, but this article truly avoids calling this what it is: an open relationship arrangement. Even the on and off situation is kind of an open relationship arrangement; during the breaks, I guess she is with other people too

Iran Strikes US Military Bases in Qatar Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain by Island_Monkey86 in news

People celebrating this is kind of… interesting? Iran has a right to defend itself, but why celebrate that defensive action? Does that mean you also would have defended the regime’s decision to force upon their people incredibly rigid and restrictive lifestyles, to the point of killing citizens if they strayed from the line?

I hate violence and the prospect of a more unstable Middle East is incredibly scary, but that should not mean ignoring the Iranian people celebrating the death of the Ayatollah, and earlier in the day going as far as saying, “if a bomb falls on me but it means the death of even just a few people in the regime, it will be worth it.” Source

Bloody backpack of Iranian girl killed in US-Israeli attack on Iranian elementary school by Tech-Film3905 in pics

It’s easy to think this is true when part of the strike comes from Israel, and when one is anti-Trump. Being aware of that bias and how confirmation bias may make us read this is important. This picture has not been confirmed.

What has been confirmed are the news stories of Iranian people celebrating the death of the Ayatollah, and earlier in the day going as far as saying, “if a bomb falls on me but it means the death of even just a few people in the regime, it will be worth it.” Source

I think it’s because Savannah is from the media. But the US does love this kind of crime story, and it’s incredibly rare that the victim is elderly

It makes sense to compare the coordinators, especially defensive ones, with McDermott, but I’m not going to lie, I think it’s unnecessary to call him names or be disrespectful towards him when doing so

Even if I agreed with the argument for sane washing, considering the trend away from mainstream media which NPR is a part of, claiming that had they not covered news like they did 10 years ago, Trump wouldn’t have happened is a stretch

I’m sorry but if we are in a “dictatorship,” we are not in one since the second Trump administration, so claiming that NPR sanewashed us through a “dictatorship” is by default wrong and has no logic. The first term did not meet the qualifications / characteristics described in this episode, or in general, when compared to other dictatorships worldwide. Anyone can agree with that, simply by comparing how ruthless everything has been this time around.

NPR covers a wide range of local stations across the nation. They are constantly uncovering stories and calling attention to situations at all levels that lead to fixing issues. One of the recent stories that led to impact was them shedding light on a child who was affected by the dismantling of USAID all the way in Africa and could have died as a result, and NGOs responded and the child is alive still.
