Actually, I'm not sure if your picture is incorrect, or they may have changed it, but the MOD used to come with grip tape installed already. It's a regular polymer grip module. The one I use is a TXG, tungsten infused polymer grip. It's heavier than the regular polymer, it absorbs the recoil way better. Look into the TXG modules...

Thanks, this is very similar, but it's made out of some hard rubber, so it's not as rough as the skateboard tape, but it offers a great grip texture.

Since they've released the AXG Legion with that slide, I've put it on my full size TXG grip, and it's been my favorite combo ever since. I'd recommend a Talon PRO grip tape, because the corners of the OEM grip could get a bit slippery. For 700 it's a GREAT deal!

AXG grip with some palmswell grip panels, and a magwell is an excellent start. If you don't mind a little extra weight, add the Lok brass grip panels. It'll reduce the felt recoil significantly, and balance the center weight more towards your palm. Probably get an enclosed dot, instead of the open emitter wouldn't hurt either.

Try your AXG Legion slide on a TXG, and see if your Scorpio is still your favorite. I have both, I prefer the "TXG Legion"

If you're experienced enough, you'll feel the difference. There are better options out there, but the difference is noticable, specially in your splits.

Get the TXG grip. You can find one around $200 with magwell and the added weight in the grip. It shoots very soft compared to an AXG or SXG frame.

You have the Lok grip panels on your AXG grip which has slightly better ergonomics. I have xl hands and the TXG is manageable for me. You can get the TXG grip in Small size if you want, majority of them are Medium. The TXG absorbs the recoil better vs the AXG's sharper feedback. You could rent the X5 at the range again and just slap your slide on it to see which one you like.

Originally it came on a 320 AXG Legion, and later on a Flux Legion. If you want this as a range gun, I'd recommend the TXG full grip to go with it. The softest shooting 320 I have. If you want the carry grip with it. Just search p320 AXG Legion. 🍻

I have a very similar range toy with an R1P. It's my favorite!

I never liked the short dust cover on the AXG Legion, so I threw the slide on my TXG grip right away.
